Morning Bagels

Short Story By: Rashel Wagner

I really thought she put the butter on before the bagel cooked so way the butter sank in. But now I realize that's the lazy way, and the way I do it for myself now.

I know now she put the butter on after so she could seal with love. She was thorough and careful to make sure the butter was on last and that meant the bagel was hot enough to where the butter would melt.

All of this she thought through and I thought was simple morning bagels. However, it wasn't just that. It was so much more than morning bagels.
