The Boy From 2nd Period

'He has such a warm smile'

I never believed in those 'perfect highschool dream' stories or those movies with all the singing and perfect relationships, you know?

First period went by pretty slow. I saw one or two of my friends from 8th grade. The teacher seems...chill I guess. Nothing interesting really, then came second period. 'He' was sitting there. Fifth chair to the front. I look around to see no other seats open then the chair in front of him. Walking over I meet eye contact with him. He smiles at me. Something about his smile set me off. It was so welcoming. It wasn't one of those 'Hey this is really awkward so i'll just smile' smile. Of course I smiled back. I sat down and the bell rang.

As the teacher talked I decided to sit sideways in my seat so I could see the boy in the corner of my eye. I don't know what about him caught me on, but I loved the feeling. I don't even know his name and i'm in love with this guy.

"Hey, what's your name?" I hear a quiet voice to my left. Of course I jump a little "U-uhh...its Paisley.." I respond almost in a whisper.

He laughs a little "You're really quiet." nodding in an awkward agreement, all I could respond with was an "Mhmm...!" which made him laugh a little more.

The bell rang and I said goodbye to him without even learning what his name was.
