“What is your plan commander?” asks and Boy. the commander looks at the soldier. “Kill everyone except the children who are nine years old...” says the commander. the boy looks at the commander and nods. “Roger” says the boy and gets on a horse and rides away with it, towards the small village of Miuba. slowly it begins to rain.

“As soon as Zeger gives the signal we attack” says the commander. one of the soldiers walks up to the commander. “Uh, who is Zeger?” asks the soldier. the commander looks at the soldier and then points to the boy on the horse. “He is Zeger, as soon as he shoots his flare we attack” repeated the commander. the soldier nods. “Ajay” says the soldier and salutes, then the soldier turns and joins the group.

in Miuba :

“Who is that?” someone asks. the others look at that one. “No idea?” says the other one. someone else walks up to them and also looks at the boy on the horse. the boy has a black cape, and he has black hair. “A black cape!” says that one. the boy on the horse (Zeger) looks up startled. Tck they are on to us. says Zeger and grabs the firearm and fires a flare. “Attack!” is shouted from afar and all the soldiers fly into town from all sides. immediately the bell begins to ring.

suddenly the bell begins to ring. Ruko is startled. “Code Black, Deadly Flag” someone shouts. people start screaming. Feija! i have to go to Feija, she can’t walk! says Ruko to himself suddenly Ruko runs away from the house. “Ruko! where are you going?” shouts his mother and runs after him. “Ruko?” calls his mother again but as soon as his mother is out of the house, she can’t find her son anywhere. Ruko Runs through the muddy streets of Miuba. “Feija?!” shouts Ruko. Ruko begins to run harder. Ruko looks around hastily. he never expected the death flag to find us. the death flag has already attacked several cities and villages, almost no one survived. but all those cities are far away from here. why us? Ruko is startled out of his thoughts as soon as he trips over a stone and bangs on the muddy ground. “bwuh” says Ruko and spits out bits of dung. the lapping of the deadly flag horses come closer. up Ruko get up. with difficulty Ruko tries to get up. he has fallen nastily. he looks carefully at his leg; it is completely open. Ruko bites his teeth. not now, get up. get up Ruko! says Ruko to himself. suddenly the galloping of the horses stops. it has stopped? Ruko wonders and looks up.

And then...

Ruko is face to face with Zeger. Zeger looks at him with a deadly stare, Zeger is covered in blood stain around the horse. Ruko’s eyes widen, he is completely stiffened with fear. Ruko looks at the Zeger’s cape. it is black. a deadly flag participant. Zeger gets off the horse and continues to stare at Ruko. “I can handle this one myself” says Zeger and holds up his hand, the other soldiers gallop away from Ruko and Zeger. Zeger gets right in front of Ruko. Ruko slowly begins to cry. running away is pointless, this is it says Ruko to himself. Zeger takes out a knife. Ruko looks at the knife. it is sharp.... “Zeger! the commander wants to see you!” shouts someone suddenly. “Tck, tell him I’m coming!” shouts Zeger back. Zeger? asks Ruko. his name is Zeger? how old is he? asks Ruko himself. Zeger looks furiously at Ruko and then gets back on the horse and gallops away.

There are shouts everywhere. “Mama! Mommy!” The children are all screaming it out around Ruko. people screaming for their child. children screaming for their parents. People run past Ruko in fear, which makes the mud from the street fly in all directions and also lands on Ruko, but he doesn’t care and doesn’t make a move, he just keeps staring at the bloody blood-red moon....

The wind blows through Ruko’s black hair. “Brother!” shouts a girl. Ruko suddenly looks out at the girl running toward a boy lying on the ground. “There you are!” shouts the girl again and sits down next to her brother. “Brother! Wake up!” cries the girl and taps her brother’s forehead. Ruko looks at the girl confused. He’s dead, isn’t he? Ruko wonders.

The red moon shines brightly. “Stay here! Brother!” cries the girl. Her brother looks at her. “Nyla, he says. The girl’s eyes grow large. “He’s lying in a pool of his own blood,” tears slowly come out of his eyes and slowly fall into the pool of blood. “You...” he repeats. and he holds his hand up to stroke his sister’s head, but he doesn’t reach it.

“Must...” stammered her brother again. someone else begins to look at the couple, the one holding a knife in his hands. he looks through his brown hair. his red eyes glow brightly.

“You have... to run!” says the brother at last. and with his dead eyes he looks at his sister, Nyla...

“Huh?” asks Nyla confused.

“They...will...kill...” the brother stammers again.

suddenly Ruko sees someone behind them. “Watch out!” shouts Ruko.

“Every...single...one” her brother finally says with his last breaths.

and then...

another boy stands next to Nyla, Nyla’s head rolls on the ground. blood splats all around. the boy looks at Ruko. Ruko looks at the head, he shakes from scaredy. “What was that?” asks Ruko. suddenly Ruko realize that another boy is watching him, Ruko checks the boy and spot a knife full of blood in his hands. Ruko stiffens. a knife... Ruko looks at the blood falling from it. “Hey, boy. what are you looking at me for?” asks the boy. Ruko looks at his red eyes. “Uh eh... nothing” says Ruko and start making a run. Ruko don’t looks back.

but he feels that the boy is following him, but when Ruko finally looks back. the boy is nowhere to be found. Ruko looks around him scared. Where is he? asks he himself. “I am right here” says the boy. suddenly Ruko turn around and stand face to face with the other boy. “don’t worry, i won’t kill you. if you are the age i am searching for” says the boy. Ruko tries to run, but the boy got already his arm, so Ruko won’t be able to run away. “Say boy, how old are you” repeats the other boy. Ruko looks at his arm, it hurts. he is strong. “I-” says Ruko. “com’n, answer. I don’t want to waste another poor soul” says the boy. and start trying to pull out Ruko’s hair. “Stop!” cries Ruko out of pain. “Then, say... how old are you?” repeats the boy again. Ruko swallow. “Fine... i am 9 years old...” says Ruko finally. and jerks his arm loses. “Ah, that’s a fine age to be” and the boy smiles. “i am simply 12" says the boy. as fast as Ruko can he start to flee. “Hey! I am not don’t yet!” yells the boy and the boy start running after Ruko again.

like before Ruko can’t find the boy suddenly out of nowhere. and then again, he stands after Ruko. but now Ruko felt something pointed going slowly up his arm. “It’s a vaccine” says the boy. Ruko stiffens. “Don’t worry, you won’t die” says the boy. Ruko try to look at the boy but then.... everything blurred and Ruko felt weak. the boy lets go of Ruko and walks away. “Make... you do what .... asks of ...” says the boy but Ruko didn’t hear very well what the boy said and faints...

“Ruko oh god, Ruko there are you!” someone shouts behind Ruko and runs over to him. “oh my darling, just what are you doing on the ground sleeping? we should be leaving this place!” says that someone again, who is it... Ruko slowly opens his eyes and looks around him. what happened? oh yes...

that boy said something... what was it?

everywhere are fire and people are screaming. “Ruko! stand up, we have to go...” says that someone. mom? asks Ruko himself. and Ruko looks at the women next to him. “Mom!” yells Ruko and stand up as fast as possible. to fast... Ruko gets dizzy and almost faints again. “Are you Oke?” asks his mother. Ruko looks at his mother. “uhum, yes I am fine” says Ruko and hold his mother’s hand and his mother starts running away with Ruko,

far away from home...

after a time of running through the abandoned city All of the sudden arrows fly through the sky, right in front of Ruko and his mother. Ruko’s eyes grow big. slowly, in shock, Ruko lets go of his mother’s hand. she is looking at Ruko. “We must run!” says his mother, but Ruko keeps looking at his mother. “Mother, your hand is purple” Says Ruko. his mother looks to her hand and start screaming. “Ruko!” she cries “come, fast I want you to be save at least!” she says and reaches out her hand, but before Ruko can grab it her hand get chopped off, by the same boy as who got Ruko. Ruko looks at the boy with fear in his eyes. but before Ruko know the boy already disappeared. his mother looks at her hand and start screaming even more. “Run! RUN!” yells his mother. Ruko looks at his mother. “no” says Ruko. “I won’t let you alone” says Ruko and grabs his mother hand and looks in her eyes. “We run together” says Ruko. but then his mother head falls off. Ruko’s eyes get big. his face is under the blood of his mother. he looks up. the same boy as before stand after his mother and looks disgusting to Ruko. “Just rot in hell” the boy says and disappear again.

Ruko is watching his own mother, slowly Ruko notices his mother voice from somewhere. she is saying something unintelligible and then he is not moving anything and is start staring at his own hand where he holded his mother’s hand with just a few seconds ago. “Mother...” he says softly. cautiously he looks at his mother’s head who stopped rolling. for a while Ruko does not make any noise, but suddenly the tears flow over his cheeks, wind starts blowing strong and blow his feelings of regret away. “Mother!” Ruko cries out loud and screams. Ruko’s mother is looking at Ruko with her death eyes.

her blood splattered all over the place. Ruko kneels down in pain. “Mother!!!” Ruko keeps screaming. And then suddenly someone starts yelling at Ruko “kid! watch out!” somebody yells but before Ruko realizes what is going on he doesn’t see a thing, he only feels pain, and hear the people screaming.

a few minutes later...

Rain falls on Ruko’s face slowly he opens his eyes, its warm... he looks up. fire? wonders Ruko he looks to the bright flame in front of him. “FIRE ?!” yells Ruko and he sits up straight and looks around in confusion, his mother’s head still is at the same place. people look at him and have their hands in front of their mouths in fright. some are screaming and running away. one of the people points at Ruko sudden someone start yelling “you are on fire!” shouts that one. Ruko is startled and looks at his arms and legs. he is indeed on fire, but why don’t I feel anything? no pain, it’s just warm. asks Ruko himself. slowly Ruko stands up and looks at himself some more... Ruko looks at the people in surprise. after him lays his mother without a head.

suddenly start some people to run away from Ruko and call him a monster. Ruko doesn’t understand. all the people run away from Ruko except one. it’s a girl and stares at Ruko. Ruko looks at the girl. she has yellow long hair and dungarees. what strikes Ruko the most is that she has red eyes... a vampire?

“Who are you?” the girl asks suddenly out of nowhere. Ruko looks around. she is the Letterly the only one left here expect himself. “Why am I on fire and doesn’t it hurt?” asks Ruko. the girl ignores his questions and asks her question again. “Who are you?” she says again. Ruko looks at her for a long time. “I’m Ruko, just Ruko. nothing more, nothing less” says Ruko and blushes a little. “I’m Jeimi, just Jeimi, nothing more, nothing less. nice to meet you” she says.

Ruko is silent, why doesn’t she run away? why does she have red eyes? “Shouldn’t you be in the water? You’re still on fire you know” Jeimi says. Ruko suddenly looks in shock around him for water. but...

“Huh? but it is raining right?” says Ruko and look at the sky. Jeimi walks toward Ruko. “Are you 9 years old?” asks Jeimi and stops in front of Ruko. when Ruko start to look at her, he realizes she is pretty close, so Ruko step a step backwards. “Uh eh, yes I am 9... so what?” says Ruko. “i already thought that that must be the reason why you’re not dead yet, did you get a vaccine?” asks Jeimi. Ruko looks long to Jeimi. What??

it’s been quiet for a long time. Jeimi and Ruko look at each other, but Ruko says nothing both Jeimi do not. suddenly Jeimi comes closer to Ruko. “Hey, deaf. tell me. did you get a vaccine?” says Jeimi. Ruko ignores Jeimi. what if I say yes? will she kill me? what if I say no? what should I say? Suddenly Jeimi takes a step back.

“You...” says Jeimi startled. Ruko looks at Jeimi confused. “w- what?” stammers Ruko. Jeimi points at Ruko. “Your eyes are red” says Jeimi. Ruko is startled. what? red? wonders Ruko. i don’t have red eyes. “Ruko, don’t tell me you got that vaccine...” says Jeimi and slaps a hand in front of her mouth. slowly the rain extinguishes Ruko’s flames and Ruko stiffens. “If I say I got a vaccine, what would you do?” asks Ruko full of good cheer.

“I won’t do anything” sighs Jeimi. Ruko looks at her in surprise. “Ruko, you are no longer human, people will try to kill you, capture you. can you handle that?” says Jeimi. Ruko looks around. kill? I will kill the one who gave me that vaccine, i will take revenge on everything and everyone who killed my mother and these children who died in front of me. “I won’t die so quickly” says Ruko and looks at Jeimi.

“Are you sure you want to let go of your humanity?” asks Jeimi. Ruko nods. “Yes, as long as I can get revenge on these people who killed me mother and all the others innocent people and children” says Ruko, and he pulls a serious face.

Jeimi nods, raising up her hand. “Appear” she says. Ruko looks confused at Jeimi. “Welcome, to the red eyes angel” says Jeimi. and immediately 5 other children emerge, all of them have glowing red eyes. they all seem to be around Ruko’s age. then suddenly Ruko spots that the boy who earlier said to his sister “you must run away” is also standing among them.

When the boy notices Ruko staring at him he begins to cry. Ruko stares at the boy, slowly Ruko walks towards him. the other children try to comfort him. when Ruko stands in front of him the boy looks at Ruko for a long time. “Uh, uhm” stammers Ruko. “Are you okay?” asks Ruko. the boy nods and avoids eye contact. “You saw it, didn’t you?” says the boy suddenly. Jeimi also comes walking toward Ruko and the boy.

“Uh, I think so...” stammers Ruko. the boy looks at Ruko angrily. “You saw my sister get killed, didn’t you?!” shouts the boy angrily. the other children flinch in fright. Ruko swallows. that’s right. “Well, well, that’s enough Kej” says Jeimi and pushes Kej aside. Ruko looks at Jeimi and then at Kej. “I’m sorry” says Kej suddenly and looks at Ruko. “We’ve all been through it, I’m sorry” says Kej again. Ruko swallows. “i- it’s okay!” says Ruko

Kej avoids eye contact with Ruko and extends his hand to Ruko. “Welcome, I hope you feel fine” says Kej. Ruko looks at Kej’s hand. “What do I have to do with that hand?” asks Ruko confused. Kej looks at Ruko. “Huh?!” yells Kej.

“Never mind, dumbass” says Kej.

Ruko looks even more confused at Kej. “Oh wow, at least Kej is back to his old self” says Jeimi smiling. Ruko and Kej look at Jeimi. “You, dumbass. I’m always me, you moron” says Kej to Jeimi. Jeimi’s mouth falls open. cautiously Ruko begins to laugh. “what’s funny? scarf addict?” asks Kej. Ruko stops laughing and grabs his red scarf. “I’m not scarf addict, go cry” says Ruko then. Kej is immediately silent and starts walking towards Ruko.

“Don’t mimic me, red addict” says Kej. Ruko and Kej stand face to face. “Do you want to fight?” asks Kej. Ruko looks at Kej “do you want to fight?” asks Ruko. Kej looks at Ruko in surprise. “Yes, otherwise I won’t ask!” shouts Kej. suddenly Jeimi starts to stand between Ruko and Kej. “let’s not fight now, let’s leave now before the Angel murders comes” says Jeimi and grabs Ruko and Kej. “Everyone else, come with me” says Jeimi.

And she drags Ruko and Kej with her. “Hey, I can walk by myself!” shouts Kej. Ruko looks at Kej. “You are already walking” says Ruko and sticks out his tongue. “Gee, fuck off” says Kej and yanks his arm free. Jeimi looks at Kej. “i expect you to walk along quietly” says Jeimi. “Ye-Hes” says Kej irritated. “Umum, Jeimi!” shouts one of the other kids. “Yes, what is it, Loish ?” asks Jeimi and stands still. “Uh um” stammers Loish. “We better run!” shouts another child and points to a bunch of people running toward them. Jeimi nods. “Everybody run for your lives!” Shouts Jeimi and let’s go of Ruko...
