The fairytale
Once upon a time there was a tiny black cat, that every day would go for a walk. The walk would start at the cat’s place and reach all the way to the port, beside the port was Sture living. Sture was an old man that usually ate together with the cat. Every time Sture saw that the cat was on its walk, he would put down a bowl for the cat. So, when the cat later on came to Sture’s place, Sture would already sit on his porch and wait on the cat. Once the cat got there, the two of them would sit on the porch and eat. The cat would eat his food and Sture would eat his sandwiches.
This morning started just like any other day. Once the cat had woken up, it started to clean its fur until it was shiningly clean. When the cat was satisfied with the fur, it would crawl out through a hole in the wall. Outside the cat would happily start trotting towards the port. On its way it past the bird bath where all the mean birds usually hanged out. It also trotted past the cat food store, and it kept trotting all the way to the port. But when the cat passed by Sture’s house, Sture were nowhere to be seen. The cat found it odd, because Sture would always be waiting on the porch. Even so the cat continues to walk to the port, that for some reason was filled with people today. Which the cat also found very odd, but at this point the cat were more curious about where Sture was. The cat ignored the ruckus on the port and went to Sture’s house instead.
When the cat got inside, it twisted and turned its ears while looking for any sounds. While looking out for any sounds, the cat silently walked through every room of the house. The living room was completely empty, so was the bedroom. Sture wasn’t in the kitchen either, but what about the bathroom? The cat walked straight to the bathroom, only to be met by a closed door and the cat didn’t know how to open a door. Instead, the cat laid one ear on the door and listened, there was something making a noise on the other side. The cat meowed loudly to see who it was on the other side. For a while everything went quiet.
- Is it you, cat?
It was Sture! The cat meowed one more time and waited.
- Do you think that you can help me get out? I can’t open the door.
The cat looked around after something that might be of help to Sture. And Sture had a lot of objects in his house, but none that the cat could use. Then the cat remembered all the people at the port, someone there should be able to get Sture out. The cat ran out from the house with its short legs, all the way back to the port. There were still plenty of people there, the cat wasted no time and walked straight up to the mass. It meowed loudly and stroke itself against people’s legs, but no one paid any attention to the cat. That made the cat angry, but then someone stopped by the cat. It was Inga that had stopped.
- Hey sweetie, what’s wrong?
The cat did a spin in front of Inga and started walking towards Sture’s house, every now and then it would stop just to make sure that Inga kept up.
When they had gotten to the house, the cat lead Inga all the way to the bathroom, where the cat scratched on the door to show what was wrong. Inga looked at both the cat and the door for a while before she walked away. A short while after she came back with another person, which the cat didn’t know. Inga patted the cat calmly while saying:
- Sture will be out soon.
All while the other person did something with the door. And sure enough, after a little while the door opened and Sture came out.
Once both Inga and the stranger had left, Sture went to the kitchen and made a huge bowl with food for the cat. Later they sat on the porch, just like any other morning.
