Lara POV
$300 dollars for a concert ticket, this yellow dude is bugging. I mean I know he is the King of Toronto and he is helping his city but damn. Nobody got $300 to waste plus money for hotel and food. Not everybody is blowing money, Drake.
Let me stop ranting and introduce myself. I’m Lara Lovely Maxwell I’m 28yrs old and I’m far from Lovely. Don’t get me wrong I’m a gorgeous thick chica but my mouth is reckless. I’m honest and blunt. I’m also compassionate and really cool. I have no time for games. Which means I’m perfect for Aubrey Drake Graham.
Yes, I have a huge crush on Drake but it’s not one of those I wanna know how he gets down in bed types of things. I wanna get down in his head. I respect him and his mind. I just want to have a simple conversation with him, no thirst trapping involved.
Anyway, I’m on my way to T.O for the festival which I don’t have tickets for. I refuse to pay $300 dollars for a ticket to stand up for two hours in a room full of people. I dislike crowds and I value personal space. My plan is to sneak in and have my convo with Drake while the other acts are performing. Plan B is to go to the after-parties but I know it’s going to be hard to get his attention away from the groupies. Hopefully, this plan goes well and I don’t end up in a T.O jail.
*At The Festival
I’m standing in a corner talking on my phone.
“I do realize it’s a long shot to have a conversation with Drake. Girl I know he probably would think I’m a reporter but I just want to know the real him. He is amazing and articulate, I also love the fact that he is a mommy”s boy. His spirit just pulls me in.
Haha, whatever I’m not corny, bye girl.
I hang up.
“Wow, I have never heard anybody talk about my son like that before.
I turn and I’m face to face with Sandi Graham! And Ryan
“Omg, you must think I’m crazy.

Arm in Arm with Mama Sandi and Ryan we go backstage. Spoons let us in without a hesitant look at me.
“Aubrey we are back and we brought a friend.
“Hey, Mom. Who is this?
“This is my future daughter-in-law Lara Maxwell.
Drake and I both look at her.
“You trying to hook me up again Mom?
“Yes, so what? Lara came all the way here from NYC to talk to the famous Drake. Be nice and chat with her.

Drake POV
My mom and Ryan walked in with a woman that is short like my mom. She is black with long hair, glasses, and hella thick. Two things surprised me: she was dressed casually and my mom called her future daughter-in-law. She won over my mom real quick, let me see what she is about.
“Hey, Lara.
“Hi, Mr. Graham.
“No need to formally call me Drake.
“Okay.
“So what do you wanna talk to me about?
“The real you. Are you happy?
“That’s an interesting first question.
She shrugs
“I’m happy that I’m doing something that I love and that I can provide for my family which includes those clowns
(Points to OB and Chubbs)
“So your only happy when you make other people happy?
“Yea I guess.
“I had a feeling, from pictures and interviews I notice you only have a genuine smile when you are around your mother. Any other time you fake it.
“I’m really bad at hiding my feelings.
“And there isn’t anything wrong with that. Sensitive men are brave and sexy.
“So you think I’m sexy?
“Don’t bring this conversation to the left. But yes you are easy on the eyes but I want you more for your mind. Your mind and spirit are beautiful things.
Damn this chick is saying all the right things to me.
“Wow, I see why my mom likes you. You’re different and I like it. So why did you want to meet and talk?
“Because I just wanted to let you know that all women aren’t the same. I don’t want you to be jaded and bitter. I don’t want you to let the fame go to your head. Plus I wanted to give you a hug.
We stand up and hug. She smells so good.

She blushes and just looks at me. I swear I’m tempted to kick everybody out so I can make love to her.

I will be right back, please don’t go anywhere.
“Okay, I will be here talking to your mom and the crew.
I nod and walk off.
I come back twenty minutes later and find my crew and mom laughing with Lara. OB and Chubbs spot me and come over.
“Yo we love your new Wifey, she promises to cook for us. *OB
“Yo I like her, she is different. *Chubbs
OB is easily impressed but not Chubbs.
“How long was I gone? She put a spell on yall real quick. * Drake
“Please not just us cause you haven’t taken your eyes off of her since you got back into this room. *Chubbs

“Don’t blow it and be Drake. She wants Aubrey then give her Aubrey. *Chubbs
“Yea I notice that too. Do you think she is legit or is she playing with me?
“She really. she hasn’t asked us for ovoo merchandise and declined when I offered her a drink. She says that she isn’t much of a drinker and she doesn’t feel right drinking in front of your moms. Like thots don’t say that. They would be smoking and taking shots. When mama Sandi heard her say that she practically swooned. I’m pretty sure she is in a group chat with the rest of our moms planning yall wedding.*OB
“Damn. So I should make a move?
“Duh! *Chubbs and OB
“Okay.
I roll my eyes. I walk over to Lara and excuse myself.
“I’m glad you’re back because I wanted to give you another hug before I leave.
“Your leaving? Why?
“Because my whole intention was just coming to meet and have a conversation with you.
“So you didn’t want to see me perform?
“Umm yea but $300 is too much for me.
“Well, now it’s not. Stay the rest of the weekend for free on me. Wanna come to the after-party?
“Okay, I will stay the weekend. No, I’m the clubbing type plus I’m just going to grab some food and chill at my hotel.
“What hotel are you staying at?
“The Motel 6.
“Damn. Check out and stay with me.
“Umm are you sure?
“Yea I have enough room plus I wanna treat my biggest and only fan.
“Your silly, I’m obviously not your only fan.
“Yea because you’re a fan of Aubrey.
“Hmm true.
We chat some more till the festival was over for the night. Part of me wants to go with Lara but I gotta do my thing.
*Later
I come high and tipsy with the guys. We are laughing at something OB said when noticed Lara on the couch sleeping.
“Aww, Wifey fell asleep waiting on you. Damn, she was hiding them titties, it looks like two melons in her shirt.
“Shut up OB. Chubbs take Lara into my room, I’m going into the kitchen.
“Yea me too, I’m hungry. *OB
We go into the kitchen to find a big bowl of chicken salad waiting for us. Them greedy dudes instantly grab plates and dig in.

“Chicken salad. Lara made it. *Ryan

Chubbs gets a plate and gets some food.

“Dude she isn’t a pet and I just can’t keep her.
“Then give her a job. *Ryan

“With ovoo clothing line and she can help me. Dude from our conversation earlier she doesn’t want to go back home. So why not, bring her with us on the tour?

“Okay, get a contract together before this weekend is over. I wanna let you know that I do notice what yall are doing.
We just want you happy and with one chick. These groupies are getting annoying and it seems like they all are crazy. *Spoons

I get into my room and I lay down next to Lara. I pull her close and I hear her sigh and say, Aubrey. I went to sleep with a smile on my face.
