I disdain all glittering gold.
Since the fall from my righteous throne.
No one can console me but my lover fare.
My knights rebelled against me.
They swore to protect me.
To fight along beside me.
I disdain all glittering gold.

I’ve seen the horrors of this cruel world.
I’ve fought for the righteous.
My hands were stained with the blood of sinners.
My soul burns pure gold.
I disdain all glittering gold.
Since the fall from my righteous throne.
I reside within the most courageous.
I shall ascend once more.
When my people most need me.
For now, I must slumber.
I disdain all glittering gold.
Since the fall from my righteous throne.
I’m not alone.
Others share my suffering.
We shall ascend our noble throne once more.
But, damn my forsaken soul, that burns glittering gold.
