Chapter 1

“Hey,” I heard a faint whisper in my right ear.

“Huh?” I murmured.

“Are you awake?” the woman whispering in my ear asked.

“I am now,” I answered, right before getting up to stretch. Upon which, I looked at the alarm clock that was sitting on the night-stand (the latter of which was on the left-hand side of the bed). It was 10:15 AM. Thank God I didn’t set the alarm, otherwise it would’ve been a pain in my eardrums. But this begged me to wonder, why did the chick in bed next to me wake me up this early to begin with? Wondering this, I turned around to look at her, only to realize that she was butt-ass naked the entire time she was in bed with me.

She was of course standing on the right-hand side of the bed, with her bare ass looking right at me as she slid on a black football jersey with the number 5 on it; she then pulled her long brunette hair through the opening hole in the process. After which, she turned around and faced me. “Morning,” she said, right before smiling.”

“Morning,” I said back, with a light smirk on my right cheek. ‘What’s your name again?’ I wanted to ask her. But deep down, I knew that that would’ve been a rude and stupid question on her part.

SECRET BILLIONAIRE

W_Skye: The secret-identity premise has real hooks, and the pacing kept me turning chapters (too quickly). What I'd have loved most is more depth in the prose itself, more scenes, more sensory grounding, a bit less telling me what's at stake and a bit more letting me feel it. The bones of a much richer and ...
