Summary

Avery is a high school girl who had everything. A loyal friend, a nerdy boyfriend, a loving family, and high enough grades to have 30 schools contacting her. A warm Monday morning she wakes up to dozens of text messages coming through her phone. Only issue, she doesn't know the people texting her. Willow, Maverick, Jathan... Shes got the secrets of these people, but they don't know she's got them. Will she use that to her advantage, or will the secrets be the cause of her death?

Who's texting me?

I wake up covered in sweat. My phone is going nuts. However, I don’t recognize any names coming through my phone. Callie, Josh, Milo, Annabeth… There are more but I’m receiving notifications so fast that I don’t get a chance to read any others. I power off my phone so I can calm down and get ready for school without disruption. But as I arrive at school no one else seems to notice any difference in the way their phones are running. This is so weird! It's a gorgeous day in Miami, I can tell it's going to be hot with a slight breeze coming from the north, but I don't waste time taking in the morning sun. I walk over to my best friend, Molly.

“Mornin’ Molly. Gorgeous day ain't it? Is your phone doing anything strange this morning?” I prompt.

“What?? No? Should it be?” She looks confused.

“No. Just asking. Sorry.”

“It’s all good.” She smiles. The warning bell shrills loudly. “Now, We gotta get to class before we're tardy. Don't want that on your rep sheet. Do you? ”

"Nope. Lets go."

We turn and walk towards the crowded front doors. Towards what will be the start of my death.

As the final bell rings, I slide into my seat and pull out my phone. The teacher still isn't in here yet, but she will be soon, so I pull out my textbook for World History and prop it up at an angle to conceal my phone from the front of the classroom. From there, I start sifting through the incoming messages. Thomas, Abby, Christina. I know someone with those names, but they don't have my number. We aren't actually friends. Just acquaintances. Nothing serious. But it's weird nonetheless.
