Chapter 1

While I was walking home one dark and stormy night from a wonderful film I had watched. It was a night where the wind was howling with the force of several great gusts that could rip the side door off the barn that people coined the phrase from.

Along the way, I kept looking over my shoulder and noticing strange things such as shadows in the distance and a mysterious sound that grew closer and closer the farther I walked away from it until I finally had the courage to turn and see a cloaked figure that stood as tall as an evergreen with a face that looked an artist had tried to craft a face of beauty but instead crafted one of inner pain and agony.

It never spoke but it simply approaches as if to say come but instead of doing that, I ran like my life depended on it, never looking back but always keeping two steps ahead of the mysterious entity.

I finally made it safely home but I made sure before that to barricade myself inside so I would be safe but then as if out of nowhere, a voice could be heard outside either that of a helpless little girl or of a young woman saying help me but I knew it was an illusion as before getting to the house, I had looked around and saw no one there.

Thankfully, I was able to ward off the entity for many hours by performing prayers to keep it at bay, using holy water to prevent it from coming anywhere near me and after a long night of great tension and anxiety, it was over.

But then I heard a knock on the door, it started out softly but then began to rise in intensity, is it a burglar come to pillage my home or a murderer come to slaughter me where i stand, at first i hesitate and decide to ignore but my evergrowing curiosity and morbid sense of reckless action compelled me to open it.

There is silence, i cannot hear, what,
