Prologue
“Just the usual son I’ll be back” My father says , he just got back in October and Here he goes leaving again and it’s only November.
“Santino It’s only for a little while” My mother says, my disappointment must be like a flashing sign in a window clear as glass on my face.
“Alright bye” I say trying to disguise the hurt in my voice with fake enthusiasm. You’d think I would be used to this my parents have been leaving every november and come back in October since the beginning of time.
My mother gives an apologetic look and hugs me with tears in her eyes “One day it’ll be different” she whispers in my ear.
“Alright see you next year ”
“Bye son” my father says as he drags my mother out the door before she starts her usual fit of leaving me behind and how she wish she could take me speech.
I give my dad a smirk when he winks as he closes the door.
That’s when the christmas music starts, Oh God
I tiny body appears from the kitchen covered in cookie mix and sugar “Bro come help me with these cookies” she says little Mari my cousin but her parents died so she is technically my adopted sister in the eyes of the law she is a short little thing but she’s 16 from first glance it would be hard to tell we are related at all from her short curly brown hair to the grayish eyes and tan skin to my long white hair and greenish blue eyes.
“Alright Mari hold on” I say picking up my headphones and placing them around my neck as I walk toward the kitchen with a quick walk.
When I walk into the room Rudolpho and Jack are standing their with equally large grins on their faces as they argue over the color of the cookies.
Jack looks up at me and gives me his killer smile “Wassup Grinch”
“Ha Ha” I laugh sarcastically spacing out each laugh emphasizing my dislike of the name.
Rue moves his twists from out of his face to give me a nod “Hey Santi” He says ignoring the look he gets’ from Mari.
“Alright my little elves time to make these cookies” Mari says all serious like.
“Too soon” we all say laughing.
“Alright what is the difference between sifting a cup of sugar or getting a cup of sifted sugar?” Rue asks looking at the recipe.
In some moments I wondered if Rue’s head was actually working this was one of those moments I couldn’t help but chuckle under my breath at the question.
Mari pauses then chuckles “It’s the same thing” as she puts 2 pans full of cookies in the oven.
“Why are you cooking so many damn cookies, You trying to feed the whole freaking world?” I say in astonishment.
“No Santi, Actually these are for us” Mari says, Any other person would find that thought a little greedy, but between the four of us anything edible is gone in a millisecond.
Rue walks out from behind the wall with the window connecting and dividing the counter/bar from the ovens and microwave, Next to me I get a good look at him from the dark black twists with red at the end of each one to his dark brown eyes his thick black eyebrows kind of hidden by his hair but visible against his light caramel skin, everything about him was perfect even his nose, I never really saw his full face because of the mask he wears. Wearing a red shirt with a gold and black leather jacket with red and black pants with Gold and black forces.
“You know those new twins?” Mari asks disrupting me from my thoughts.
“Yeah Aspen Estelle and Demetria Estelle?” I ask they moved right next door if it wasn’t for the fact that I know for sure there are no Estelle’s in my family I could be their long lost brother from the fact that both of them have whitish gold hair and cold blue eyes with the palest skin.
“What about them?” Jack asks walking into the room if Jack wasn’t Mixed you would think he was your basic white boy millionaire from his red russet hair to his Black eyes and russet tan colored skin.
“Well I have known them since I was a baby and they like moved away and then when I came here Aspen said she and her sister lived here and they moved across from the other side of the city because their Dad got a job here” Mari says without a breath
“Okay get to part where we all want to bitch slap you and ask why” Jack says with a grin
“Ok Ok no need to be so harsh I just happened to invite them over here in 5....4...3....2..1” Mari says taking off the apron she has on to reveal a red top with a short black mini skirt with fluffy red boots.
“Really?” I say more like groan right when the doorbell rings.
“Could you get the door for me?” Mari Asks her tiny little face begging.
“Ugh Fine” I say walking out of the kitchen towards the door, it took me a good 3 minutes to get there with the size of the house it’s every person’s dream to live in.
I open the door to see the twins with their purses one with long straight dyed blue hair and the other with full dyed white hair, The blue headed one has on a s shiny silver top with a white fluffy crop jacket, with a fluffy ice colored mini skirt And white see through tights with snowflakes on them with fluffy white boots with silver jewelry and purse, The white haired one wearing a green version of her sisters outfit.
“I’m Aspen Estelle” The blue haired one says
“So you must be Demetria?” I say to the White haired twin
She nods “Cool Virgen Mari is in the kitchen I believe ” I say walking out of the way so they can walk in I proceed to the kitchen when Demetria looks at the door about to turn, but I take out the glass screen remote it looks like a piece of glass but controls the whole house I press a button and the door closes.
Demetria rushes up to me and grins “How long have you and Mari known each other?” She asks
“Since I was born She is my cousin but my sister as of a year ago” I say shrugging like I usually do
“Oh So your the Famous Santiano?” Aspen says
“That’s not really my name but yeah” I say sighing I never really expected them to know my 2nd name. Mari must have told them.
“What’s your name then?” Demetria asks
“Nikeeta' Jonte" I mumble my name is incredibly embarrassing
"Omg Nikeeta? That is a perfect name I'm going to call you that now" Aspen says
"And I'll call you Jonte so you know which one of us is talking to you" Demetria says
As we reach the kitchen it is the most Gayest sight I have ever seen...Rue has his shirt off to show he has better abs than Jack and Jack has his shirt off trying to prove he has better abs
Demetria and Aspen instantly smirk Jack and Rue look up at me and have wider smirks.
"What's with all this smirking sheesh" I say rolling my eyes
"Well you just so happen to be the only boy without a shirt off and we want to see if you have better abs than us" Jack says
I roll my eyes of course they comparing each other Mari is laughing her eyes light up when she see the twins and run over to them and completely tackle them in a hug.
I shrug and laugh "Your not getting me outta this shirt" I say the last I want is everyone to see me with a shirt off.
I mean I'm not ugly or anything.....Actually the exact opposite.
"Borrrrring" Jack exclaims
"Whatever" I say rolling my eyes.
