I let my elbows sink deeper into the damp sand and allow the sea to run its fingers along my form. Silently, I lay in the middle of the warm shore, deep in contentment. Slowly, the clouds swirl around the milky, crescent moon. Yet, throughout nature’s beauty, the cold air still nips at my skin relentlessly. As the freezing wind, herself knows I´m not supposed to be here too. She still keeps sinking her teeth into me, even when I don´t move. The wind, I feel, is a bit too much like myself.
I don´t know if I´ll ever give this world a break.
For the first time this night, I take a deep breath and look at the stars above me. Truly look. This time, they don’t talk, scream, or blabber. They remain quiet but just as loud as the other ones. I used to long for that kind of blare. So much that I could never appreciate a quiet night. That´s something I´ve missed. Yet, I´m awake now. I rest my fingers on my stomach and sigh. I keep looking at the stars, not breaking eye contact for a moment. As if it were the first time I’d ever seen such a thing.
Knowing full well that I could´ve never seen these stars again if I´d given anyone a break.
I love your writing style! The idea seems really cool, too!
So I agree that the idea is kinda confusing but at the same time it simply captivate the readers attention.
