Hannah's POV

On a small island looking into the coastal area of the Atlantic Ocean, my family and I lived in a small village called Old Town Northton. Today, my family and I are celebrating our village’s 100th anniversary. It is tradition for the kids to go out to the forest and fetch food for their family.

“Go to the woods and get some fruits,” my mom asked.

“Yes mom! But can you tell me a specific kind of fruit that we all like because Thomas won’t like the kind of fruit that I picked” I said.

“Sure dear! Maybe you can get some apples,” my mom said.

“Sure mom! Bye” I said.

“Bye dear,” my mom said.

And soon, after I was in the woods, I got lost because it was my first time going into the woods by myself. Whenever Iwent into the woods, I would go with my older brother, Thomas. So, I got really scared and when I tried to find my way back to the village I was getting more and more lost because wherever I turned it was all the same with the trees in the woods. So, I decided to try and find the fruits I was looking for. I had been walking in the woods for what seemed like 6 hours but I actually walked for 3 hours and my legs started to ache and I couldn’t move a muscle. Suddenly, I spotted a house nearby so I went up to the house and knocked on the door to see if anyone would answer and an old lady opened the door.

“How may I help you young lady?” asked the old lady.

“I got lost in the woods and I am looking for a place to rest for a while because I am so tired,” I said.

“How long are you going to rest because I might leave to go to the market?” said the old lady.

“I might stay here for about 5 hours and leave and also while you are gone maybe I can cook both of us dinner to eat” I said.

“Sure” said the old lady

So, the old lady let Hannah into her house but there was a problem: the old lady was actually a wicked witch. So, Hannah relaxed in the witch’s house while the witch was at the market so Hannah decided to look around the place and see what she could find to cook dinner for her and the witch. When Hannah was looking around she spotted something strange in a corner so she decided to look at that and when she got closer and closer to the strange item she could tell that it was some kind of magic potion.

”Maybe the old lady has a potion which is her friends and maybe she is not a witch.” I thought.

But boy was Hannah wrong because that magic potion actually belonged to the old lady. And soon the old lady was back from her trip to the market and Hannah still wasn’t ready with the dinner.

”Do you have any kinds of ingredients that I can borrow to make us both dinner?” I asked.

“Oh Yes I do, they will be in my grocery bag.” replied the old lady.

”Um... Where exactly is the bag?” I asked.

”It’s over in the back.” replied the old lady.

”Thank you!” I said.

But when Hannah entered the back she saw a broom stick and also a grocery bag so she looked through the bag and found the fruits she was looking for and she also found some magic potions in the bag. So, she kept some apples for herself and baked an apple pie for the old lady and also add something called “Sleeping potion” so she added a teaspoon of that and soon after the witch fell into deep sleep but as soon as Hannah opened the door to get out of the house the witch woke up.

“Where are you going little girl?” asked the witch

“I’m going back home.” I said.

“But why don’t you stay for a little longer?” asked the witch

“I can’t because my family is worried about me.” I said.

“Okay you may leave,” said the witch.

“Thank you so much!” I said.

Hannah left the witch’s home and this time she tried to get out of the woods but this time also she failed to get out of the woods because the trees look alike so Hannah keeps getting lost.
