Untitled chapter

The drowned boy was on the verge of his strength and was stretching his hand, from where only two fingers could be seen. He found himself on a solid bottom but suffered sortage of air and could drown any second. He was at the mercy of his schoolmates. But they were no good. They were the freaks of the town. Liars and delinquents. Their parents got rid of them by sending them in the village for naughty youngsters. Their dormitory was actually a school for troubled students but also could be called a school for future gangsters.

. . .

The Panther jumped out of the water with a firm voice and yelled:

-One of you to come here and help me!

In responce, all climbed on a rock, even further from their leader. No one wanted to risk their lives. They also know this place is like a magnet for drowned people.

In this time, the Boxer passed through him:

-Stop. You must come with me!

-I can’t . I treasure my life-drawled the Boxer.

The Panther, who was holding his two shoes in his hands, reached him and hit him with them on the head. Then a kick in the ass followed. The seconds were slipping away. The Panther cried out:

-Jesus, please save him.

At this moment Borco neared him from the back. He was taller than the Panther.

-You come with me!

Both entered the water. Borco caught the two fingers of the drowned boy, but the Panther trailed them together on the shore.

Memo’s face was all blood red.

-Thank you, Jesus!-repeated constantly the Panther.

The youngsters on the rock were cheering. Actually, Memo was the strongest of them. All thought he is a good swimmer but in fact he couldn’t swim.

-How so he can’t swim?-wondered all but that was the truth.

. . .

It seems like a whole year passed away but then the water moved and Memo’s face appeared. Then he drowned again, only his two fingers standing above the water, like an orientation. His friends were helpless.

. . .

The youngsters from the school were every day involved in fist fights. Some won, other-lost. Just like in life. Danny passed by and asked:

-Who’s your king?

All remained silent. They didn’t want to point him.

-The Panther. There is no one like him. He is the commander. He can beat you up and then save you-concluded Danny.

In the morning, the Panther gave orders to the inhabitants of the school and the fat boy teaches:

-By two, by two and no one to break the row!

This morning the Panther ‘’reformed’’ several naughty boys with kicks and then all went to school. The master was walking after them.

The Panther had a bad dream and his mood right now wasn’t very good. He made a cross with his hands and prayed the omen from his dream not to become a reality.

One of the evil-doer said:

-You…made a cross with your hands?

-No! Why you spoil the row?

The cheeky boy received a kick but that didn;t calmed him down. He started teasing the Panther with some joke.

. . .

All made a long rown in the refectory and waited for the cook to handle them the meal. Right this moment someone tripped up the Panther

-Malice, did you tripped me up?-he asked.

No answered followed. Then the Malice received a fist in the jaw. He fell and spoiled the row. All wanted to be spectators of a show and dind’t realize something awful is happening.

-You killed him!

The Malice lied on his back while bubbles and foam was coming out of his mouth. His eyes were wide open. The face was yellow and pale. His body was shaking frantically.

-Oh, God, what I’ve done!

-Now you’ll see! You’re going straight to jail!

-You were teasing us every day! That’s what you deserve!

-Jesus, save him, please!-repeated the Panther.

. . .

All students looked him questionably. The Panther walked, tilting. He fell on his knees and took the hand of the dying boy. The hands of the Malice were cold. Then the Panther leaned on him and kissed him. It seems like an electricity passed through all of them.

. . .

The convulsions stopped. A tremoring hand caught his and a miracle happened. The Malice was smiling and dind’t lose his hand. The Panther carefully stand him up. All sighed with relief. What a miracle!

At this moment the master came :

-What happened here? Why aren’t you all eating?

-The Panther firstly kicks, then rescue and resurrects.-said someone.

The Panther implemented the will of God-to love thy enemies like you love yourself. Otherwise, he will be tavelling to the jail.

Sarah: That’s actually really interesting. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into the world before bringing the characters into it. Did you already have the main story in mind while you were building the regions and places, or did the world itself inspire the story as you created it?
