Chapter 1
Elsie was in Paris with her family. Her love for Nicolas was on fire. Romeo was regretting himself for kissing Elsie, their friendship was falling apart. Annie didn't return to Britain and her parents abandoned her for not returning with them. She was living with Alex in his brother's apartment.
It was the 20th anniversary of the Lopez Company. The event was held the day before Christmas Eve in a Boutique hotel. There were a lot of celebrities. Employees were given awards
Nicolas was wearing a black and white suit. He was sitting with his parents
Melter carrying a glass of wine " Where is Elsie? I thought you would come with her"
"She is in Paris with her, family. She will come back tonight. Where is Diego? I thought he would come with you"
" He is working on a case," said Fernando
Melissa was sitting alone looking at Nicolas, the way she was looking at him, she was up to something
" Hey, Melissa congratulations on the award, you did a great job," said Miss. Scott.
Melissa won the award for being the best fashion designer
Melissa smiled " Thank you" She then saw Nicolas sitting alone "Excuse me"
She walks towards his table " Mr. Lopez I saw you sitting alone and I decided to come to greet you" she said sitting down
Nicolas looked at him " I'm fine, Melissa" said Nicolas
His phone rings, and he stands up and leaves her alone. The hall lights were disco lights. It was deemed where Melissa was. She took sleep pills and put them into Nicolas's drink. She makes sure no one sees her. Nicolas came only with Rodrigo. Rodrigo was outside the hall answering his phone
"Hey, love how is Paris," Asked Nicolas
" Paris is nice but not as nice as when I'm with you. I miss you " said Elsie
" I miss you too"
" See you soon, have fun" She then hung up
Nicolas returns to his seat. Melissa then stood up "Have a nice day sir," said Melissa
Nicolas didn't reply to her. She returned to the table where Miss Scott was sitting, She looked at Nicolas to see if he was drinking that wine
Rodrigo came to Nicolas " Sir, I have to take you home, I received a call that my sister is not feeling well and she is now in hospital" said Rodrigo worried
Nicolas stared at him " Just go I will drive myself home"
" Thank you sir" he then walks out the wall
Nicolas took that wine and drank it. The pills take 1 hour to work. Melissa stared at every move he made. He felt some changes in his body. He walks out of the hall. He held the wall so that he didn't fall. Melissa walks out of the hall and finds him there
" Mr. Lopez, Are you Okay? She pretends as if she doesn't know anything and she wants to help
He was weak. The drugs were working fast in his body" I'm okay,"
"You don't seem okay let me help you " She helps him walk to the private rooms of the hotel and she puts him in a bed. After putting him in bed he then falls asleep. She locks the door. She removed his clothes. She removed her clothes too and she took a selfie cuddling him. Elsie took a flight that night
The next day, When Nicolas opens his eyes. He saw Melissa sleeping next to him. He got out of bed angrily, he was wearing only underwear. He was dem hot " What are you doing here and how did I come here? He was angry and yelling, he grabbed his pants and wear
Melissa put her head down, she was fearing him that if her plan didn't work, he would kill her the way he was " You were not feeling well yesterday, I saw you leaning against the wall and you were weak and unable to walk, I helped you to come here and I placed you in bed and I seat on a couch and I was panicking not knowing what to do. That is the reason I didn't leave you alone" She was crying, pretending
He calmed himself down " So, how did you come to bed," asked, Nicolas
" After a few hours, you woke up and told me there are no women beautiful, the way I am. You told me you like me and you started kissing me. That is how I ended up in bed"
" What??" he was angry "You mean I slept with you"
Melissa stared at his strong shoulder with tattoos, he was so hot, she didn't see him clearly, night " Yes" responded Melissa
He touched his head. Going up and down. He only remembers her helping him but doesn't remember the rest " You, know what Melissa, I'm sorry if I did that to you but I don't remember anything, So just do me a favor. This has to stay between you and me, is clear? He was serious
" Okay," said Melissa
He wears his shirt and walks out of the room. When he was outside he called Elsie and she picked up" Sweetheart, did you fly back last night?"
" Yes I'm in Joburg now, we were tired last night, so we slept in a hotel," said Elsie
" Which hotel you are in? Asked Nicolas
"We are at a Boutique hotel. It seemed like there was a business event, last night when we arrived" said Elsie
He touched his head "What???"
