This chapter is short on purpose so you get a brief introduction to the characters. This is my first work of fiction so please bear with me I have been wanting to write a story like this for years. Covid made think life's short and people deserve great stories. I love Romance Novels and I have read my share of them so I'm writing from years of reading and watching Romantic Movies so take the journey with me. Enjoy

Juliet Keller has been the object of bullying since kindergarten and she never really had any friends so she threw herself into her school work and she gets good grades. She hated being the object of humiliation from time to time. A few years ago she wasn't feeling well her parents made an appointment with Juliet's doctor which lead to a Oncologist who diagnosed Juliet with Leukemia stage 2 and she started treatments right away. As the treatments progressed Juliet started to feel the affects of the Leukemia and then the Leukemia started to spread and the treatment wasn't working. The doctors told Juliet and her parents that their wasn't anything that they could do for her, but that Juliet should live a normal and active life. When she got home from the doctors appointment she decided to make a list of things she wanted to do before she dies 1) fall in love 2) first kiss 3) first date 4) be in the arms of the boy she loves 5) first dance 6) be more forgiving 7) make friends 8) graduate 9) be in two places at once 10) sit under the stars with the boy she loves 11) witness a meteor shower 12) get married 13)read more books 14) go to Paris and Europe 15) have sex 16) travel the USA in an RV 17) witness a miracle. Juliet's only wish was to find a miracle and she hoped it would be Brandon Harris. When the teacher paired them together for the class assignment she was so excited to finally work with him. She was hoping to work one on one with him. She hoped and prayed he would notice her and her pain.

Brandon has been a average student and got good grades and never had a girlfriend and never thought about one until he started watching Juliet but couldn't shake why he was attracted to her. He lived with his dad and mom. His wish was to get good grades and graduate from high school and get into a good University and leave Folsom. He just needed to get through high school. He never displayed his affections for Juliet. He was so thrilled to be working with her on this new class assginment. They decided to meet after school. Brandon was thrilled to be close to her again and working with her on this project.

They decide to meet after school for the project. He asked if they could meet not in the school's library but somewhere private. She suggested her house. He agreed to it. She was thrilled he agreed to meet at her house. Maybe she could show him how normal she is and that she needed him badly. He couldn't believe she fell for it but then he thought about it and smiled. He would see her after school at her house today. He would learn more about her and learn to love her.
