The Young Foreigner

I have only read 15 chapters of this book since my own currently has 15 and the author and I agreed for a review swap. As far as I have read, I think it's pretty good. The plot is not clear to me yet, but what I loved most was the writing style of the book. The main characters are Yor and Elmeida. Sadly, I found them to be one to two dimensional, and at times Yor was a bit cheesy. But I'm just being honest here. Elmeida was the one who sparked my interest more. I liked how she was the one to control darkness but was a bit confused that she didn't know that since she literally tells Yor that Darkness has been passed down her family.

I'm not sure what to say about the world building. So far there's only names of cities and kingdoms, no further explanation. But I liked the unique names because they remind me of ones I read about in books like A Song Of Ice and Fire.

Overall, I think the book has a lot of potential. A little polishing on the characters, plot details worldbuilding, and surroundings is needed. Then, you'll have a pretty awesome book.

Very Good

So this book is interesting. When the sisters meet eachother for the first time it's kinda out of a Disney movie. The writing style was very captivating as the story progresses. I felt that the characters needed a bit of flushing out, like at some times they sounded very one dimensional to me. But there are a lot of aspects that the writer can use to further enrich the characters. The world buliding was confusing at times. I didn't know whether the story was set in modern or old times, and I wanted to know more about the kingdoms. But overall, this book has a lot of potential and it's really good.

One of the best

I have read this book first in Wattpad, and it's one of my favourites.

What I love about it is the ongoing suspence. Seriously it never stops, just when you thought you know something, another appears. Also, the structure and the description of this book is so beautiful, it really flows and pulls you in.

The characters are all unique, and sometimes would do things that make you want to pull your hair out. They're real, that's what I am saying. Also, what I love about this story is it's not predictable.

Alanis, the main character, really goes through some serious shit that you can't help but root for her in every situation.

The author really knows how to pull on your heart strings as well, and I am really excited to see what else is there.
