How can there be no review?

Hello Michael,

I am amazed that there are no reviews for Lifegames.I found this novel an absolute delight from start to end. The characters were wonderful and the dynamics of the relationships remarkable. I can't say too much about the twists in the plot and how I was expecting a certain outcome and then you did a "Game of Thrones" quantum twist on me. It was just wonderful to immerse in this tale.

I particularly loved the relationship between Leon and the Bishop and would have welcomed a lot more of that.

I'd like to drill down on some of the plot twists but don't want to spoil it for anyone following. Got to admit just didn't see how it came coming :)... very well done and a novel of first class proportions.

Keep it up

Tony

Usually wait till the end

I usually wait until I have read a complete work before leaving a review and I was hard pressed to put 5 stars against overall and plot as I have only finished three chapters and may very well revise this.

I have recommended this to my cohorts (and I love Steve's use of that word (in context :))), it is rarely seen these days and we all yearn to be cohorts I'm sure :).

So far it has grabbed me in a way I hope that everything I write "grabs" the reader. The character building is excellent and I love the manner Steve employs of NOT explaining everything as you come to expect today (that type of explaining that make the first 20 minutes and last 10 minutes of "Taken" unnecessary (obviously filmed for the North American audience that needs to be told how to spell BMW)). You just have to keep up as he gets on with unwinding the narrative.

Don't know what Shift-Glasses are... too bad, work it out :).

Anyway, will be seeing this one through and might comment at the end.

Good work Steve, should go straight to a BBC three-parter I reckon the "Going Postal" production team would be ALL over it :).

Cheers
Tony
