I loved the book, Cameron, I HATED Lavender and Kevin and whatshisname. OMG, I am, like, at a lost for words, right now.

Okay, so the first few paragraphs confused me, because their weren't any kind of punctuation at the end of the sentence(s). "It was like this"... I loved the titles of them, like, 2002-1? Why did you stop naming the chapters that? You should (just a suggestion) go back, and match them all up so they all say Chapters so-and-so, or 2010.

Can't wait to read on about Cameron.
(so, he was assigned girl at birth, and is gay? so you're saying once he transgenders, he's still gay?) (don't answer that, just wanted to show my thought process while reading this)

Rival Gangs

The beginning of the book - the first 'chapter' - was honestly a complete turn-off. You should want to jump right into or ease the person reading into the plot line - which I didn't understand from what I read. You should introduce the chapter with the list of Characters at the END of the book. For me, that would've been easier.

When you were introducing the character, instead of piling it all in one paragraph, in one chapter, you should've diced it up so you could build and revise the character as more readers got engaged in the book.

Silver Lining

So far, the book is great. It's a continuation of Ollie, now grown and of age. I know your updating every day but I was surprised when he admitted his feelings for Abby and vice versa so soon. I have to say, unless this book is going to be short, I would've wanted it to be - as I said reading Every CLoud - dramatized and exaggerated a bit more. Of course, the book is still in the makings so I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE BOOK TO BE COMPLETED. And now that I'm done reading this book, I'll go and update my own. You earned a permanent follower and reader out of me, Ms. April.

Every Cloud

This book was amazing through and through. The first chapter was, in my opinion, a little rocky and I was a bit confused but after a minute the book was great. I was shocked that Carson (is that his name?) and Emma was reunited... I kind of figured that the situation with Carson and Savannah wasn't what it seemed. Emma should've had more trust in her 'high school sweetheart'. I mean, she - the other girl, Savannah - was standing there in lingerie not appearing out of breath, hair disheveled, or anything. I feel as though some of the things Emma was feeling could've been exaggerated a bit more since the book took a turn with Carson coming back and the two gettings back together. I feel as though the scene where Emma and Savannah were in the hotel room should've been longer - maybe give the readers a bit of a scare. And since you asked how do I feel about Carson... I STILL DISLIKE HIM (I'm joking, I loooooove him)

Into the Traps

The synopsis is what wanted me to read this book. From the first words, you drew the reader in, which is what you want in a book. Someway, you veered off and actually went into dialogue, Like, I know that's what some others do, putting an excerpt in the synopsis but for this type of book, I'd think you would've actually went into what the book is about. From what I got from the little summary, charlotte takes the guy to some other guy, which isn't very intriguing. Continue on writing, love, and I'll read again.

How Mine End

Okay, this title. Maybe it's because I haven't gotten too far in the book yet or maybe it's just my crazy mind, but this title isn't really... hitting different for me. I saw the title and thought, 'this is another cliche romance' and so far, nothing had proven me wrong. The main character has some sort of disease..? Couldn't really tell from the chapters that I've read. It was hard to read at the beginning because you used ' ' for someone talking and used " " for someone quoting another... didn't make sense. I loved the prologue though, kind of reminded me of the Twilight Saga. Like later on the prologue will be said again as another chapter later on..? (is that Jake, her ex?)
About to finish reading now. 🙂

Sweet, Sweet, Desires

Great starts!

The beginning was great - the first, like, 4 paragraphs. I thought you could've explained the scenes a bit more, since your writing this kind of book. Writing erotica books, I feel as though you have to give more details on what's going on, maybe build some suspense. I think you should've maybe fed us more in the beginning, instead of jumping straight into things - the lady going to work, horny already. I noticed a few - not a lot - grammar issues, too. Maybe go back and read this again.
Question - I was reading your wall before you responded to my comment on your post and you said 'Story 2 coming soon'. Do you mean another chapter to this book? Or a whole new story with nothing to do with this one?

91 Days

Hm. 91 days left to live gives you a lot to think about, no?

Well, I gave it a 3-star review because the book isn't finished. And I felt as though the hospital scene could've been drawn out a little bit more. Like, how she felt when she got the news; how her heart dropped to her stomach but she wanted to keep a strong face for her already crumbling father. The doctor's discomfort giving the news to the already dying girl in the bed. And the two chapters here would've been better told in third person point of view, to capture all the emotions.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad - it just needs a little work! Finish the book and I'll review it again.

The Other Side of Love

I'm going to be honest here.

In my opinion, you offered too much infromation in the synopsis. You gave me what was going to happen in the book,yes, but you also went into detail when you spoke about all the men that was going to be getting invovled. You should've just said something more ambiguious, to give the readers something to think about.

Puncuation and grammar is whole other matter. You capitalized random words in random sentences, and for a minute, I wondered if you were doing it on purpose. In most of the chapters (that I've read) the main character Ulysses wasn't captialized, not even in the synopsis.

This book was actually interesting. At first, I was a little confused because I only read a little bit of your other books combined but the little notes you did at the beginning of the chapter with Mio and Mei, and Annebelle/a helped a lot. Good job!

Plum

Plum was very well written. It kind of reminded me of Spring's Seduction. Plum's character, at first, was a little confusing, but that had nothing to do with the writers' style. There was minor technical writing like you missed a period or misspelled a word. Everything was great; there is really nothing I can comment on.

Imperfectly Beautiful

I like the general direction the book is going in. I love what you've already portrayed, with Venus' low self-esteem. Instead of talking, thinking, what she was feeling, maybe you could describe it. For example, instead of saying, a messy fat woman shows in the mirror, try and describe her description, other than 'fat' and 'messy'. Like, 'I see a wide-waisted girl in the mirror. Hazel eyes stare back at me, dark bags hanging under them.'. You know, something to give me a visual on what and who Venus is.

Complexity

I'm quite bewitched with Olivia's character. I can tell what the plot is, and I really loved that you included the history (or a little of the history) of the Yakuza. I honestly thought I was the only one who knew about them - although, anyone who's watched Hawaii FIve-0 should know who and what they do. I noticed that you put Olivia's (and the other POVs) thoughts in italic..? When you're doing that, you're putting emphasis on them, when in reality they could be minor to the storyline. I also noticed in the first chapter (at least, I think it was the first chapter) where you over describing how proud she was... I, myself, have a hard time describing the simple things but the fact that you were able to describe that moment to the point where I cringed had me a little... shocked!

The descriptions in the text (as the dialogue) are happening is very vague. I believe in chapter TWO you described the way the girl looked and or appeared as she walked into the club, but didn't give much of a description of what the club looked like.

I couldn't really understand the plot of the storyline. I don't know if it's because of the formatting or because of the lack of description, or if it's the book cover, but I didn't understand it, which is why I ranked all the categories 3/5.

Then You Look At Me

Whew.

The overall story was beyond perfect, to be honest. I loved the characters (Ansel and Rainey, and a little bit of Riley and Alex). I wish there was a bit more information, concerning Rainey's background. I understand everything from the point she arrived at the school and beyond. I enjoyed the flashbacks, but they were very bland. I didn't feel the impact of... what was her name, Kendra? I didn't feel the impact she had on Rainey's character, at least, not enough for me to think she's that important. In the flashback scenes, everything was so... quick? (too much dialogue in those parts. Instead of spending that time to talk, you should've described the way Rainey and or Kendra and or Riley and or Monica felt in the moment) It was like you couldn't describe it, what was happening in the moment, which is fine because I do the exact same thing.

The Girl and the Boy Who Broke Her

The book was amazing.

At times everything was moving smoothly and at others it would change so quickly, leaving some of your readers (not me) confused. I hope there is a sequel written, although I don't think there will be one.

Spring's Seduction

This is now one of my favorite books right now.

I loved the dynamic effect I had while reading this. I loved Spring's character, mainly because in a way that's how I wanted to portray some of mine, but it went in a different direction... At first, I wasn't a big fan of the plot, mainly because it seemed like a cliche beginning and, in a way, a cliche ending. Towards the end, I didn't like the writing style. In the middle of a sentence, the thing would

do that ^^ what I just did and I was confused. But other than that, the book was great, through and through.

The only problem I had with this book was how fast everything progressed. I know this was written as a short story and I understand that. You could've maybe added more description to everything. added a bit more of a back story with Davina and Janey. Other than that, the story was great - hot and steamy!

Judas

I love the preface. As soon as I started reading, it caught my attention. Initially, I selected this book because it had the least amount of chapters in it - from what I can tell - but now, I want to continue reading. I'm eager to find out who takes Judas - if he does get taken - and the whole deal with his Moms'. Not to mention those neighbors! What was his name, Daniel? David? My attention span is slowly slipping from me, LOL. But, I think he's going to tell the person in the woods - I think that's what they were warning the Moms' right? - that there is a perfect little boy who just moved to wherever they moved to for her to have. From what I pieced together, the person who stayed in the woods likes children..?
Anyway, I can't wait for the book to be finished.

Rejection Denied

From what I've read, this book is great. I love the dynamic effect the book had as the chapters developed. I wished we could've had more character development for Nix and maybe the main character - I forgot her name. From what I've read, she's had a dark past - the fact that she's been in a lot of foster homes. She is one hell of a fighter due to the fact that she's a werewolf or a descendent from a powerful one.
I wasn't really a fan of your writing style, especially in the first few paragraphs that included Mark. Everything, from the time she woke up to the time she meets the Beta, was in my opinion rushed. She should probably go back and reread those chapters and see if you could add a few more details.

Reality Check

This book was literally a play on my emotions. It was beautifully written! The book as a whole will override any negative feelings. I surprised by the ending, to be honest. Call me a sucker for liking a horrible ending, LOL. The way you portrayed Max made it seem like the ending would end in tatters and bleeding hearts but it didn't. I wish we could've had more of a background with the other characters in the book. Like, I know they weren't that much of an importance to the general storyline but I think that would've been great for the readers.

Loveless Lover

At first, I was a little thrown back because I didn't realize it was poetry until I got into it. I loved how you switched up the flow, a little bit, from regular stanzas to a paragraph. It gave the storyline ups and downs throughout the book.
I'm going to be honest, I'm not much for poetry unless it by someone I know. If this was, I guess, an actual book with, you know, characters and dialogue and whatnot, I probably would've felt what your other readers felt. I only could relate to a few things that you mentioned here.
All in all, this was a good read.'
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but if someone was to ask, you know, 'read any good poetry lately?' I'd answer 'Sure, this author named hczhen...

Okay, so I read the book yesterday and when I saw you gave a review for mine I decided to reread and go ahead and give you your review.

This is your first book, yes? Well, I liked the idea of it. But, it just seemed so expected. They're a thousand books on this platform that has something to do with a CEO of some major company and a random girl. You have to show your readers that your book is different from the thousands of others using the app. Plus I've noticed that your sentences are extremely long. Like, great job explaining and describing stuff but... For example, in chapter two. The girls were at the club and you were saying something about martinis...? That sentence could've been chopped down to at least three.
Anyway, great job so far...

This book was intense.

From the start - which was, in my opinion, kind of shaky - it showed emotions that I didn't expect. I loved the book through and through, all the ups and downs and ends and outs. I did have a problem with the title though. The book is about 'Olive', who was constantly bullied by her peers. She met the other main character. Liam, when they were younger. He vanished after a while. They didn't see each other until the start of Highschool. Don't get me wrong, I UNDERSTAND the plot and the title. But seeing as the book is about Olivia, I don't see why you named it Bad Boy Abused.

The book, as always, was great!

One of the things I've noticed was that you lack in giving details. Even though you described what the main character looked like, it was hard imagining it. And the mate of the main character, you didn't give me much of a background him. I get that he was raised to be cold and everything, but all that went down the drain when he brought his mate back, which brings me to my next point. The progress of the events going on in this book, to me, seemed to move fast. I would have to go back and reread something because everything would move so fast. Nevertheless, the book was great and I enjoyed it.

Seeing as English isn't your first language, this is so far so good. You seemed to have jumped straight into things, not giving us anything that led up to Ray waking up at Dark's house. I get the impression that you're spreading it out a bit, having them as flashbacks instead of having her actually think about it, compare and contrast the previous situation to the one she is in now. Everything seems great, can't really say - other than what I've said - this book is bad.

From the author's note to the chapter I'm on this book was amazing!

I loved the poem sorta format you had going on in the author's note. The prologue was a little iffy - only giving me a bit of the personality of the main character. Although I enjoyed the book, some somethings could've been better. For example, the synopsis was just an excerpt from the book, not really giving me what the book was about. It was intriguing, yes, but you could've offered somewhat of a gist. You kinda jumped right into things with the relationship with Marielle, Carson, and whatshisname. Not to mention, you didn't give us much background on her. Like, I understand she was bullied and everything. After the realization of a polyamory relationship with her best friends, you kind of just made it seem like the confidence came with the relationship and I don't think that was the case. The multiple points of view, I felt, were just confusing me more. In one chapter your in Marielle's POV then you're the twins' POV you're in the parents then you're in third person POV. In my opinion, stick to one POV and offer the other ones as bonus chapters or the ending chapter.

Based on the title, you'd expect the book to be a romance type of thing. There were MAJOR grammar issues in here from the jump, making it sorta hard to read. And you put, like, a dash '-' after some form of dialogue. For example, "blahblahblah," - she said. That too threw me off while reading. The scenes also changed quickly, making me a little confused. I couldn't get any information down, and it was hard remembering the main character. Continue reading and I'll re-read, love.

Bad Blood

At first look, I didn't think I'd like it, but then I was thinking 'I already added half your books to my reading list, so I might just well read it. The first chapter was a little confusing for reasons that had nothing with your writing skills. The plot - from what I could get from it - was great. I read this book awhile back and I loved it then and I love it now. First off, I love how you give the count of words at the end of the chapters. I might start doing that, I don't know. Rae Of Light

Whew.

I didn't know what I expected when I pressed on this book yesterday, but it wasn't this. At one point, I think I screamed, closed the computer, and walked away. But then, two seconds later, I cursed myself for closing the damn thing because I didn't know what chapter I left off on.

The plot was great. A girl - Rae - witnessed something she wasn't supposed to and is being held by the people who did the thing that she witnessed. I was hoping for other povs than just Rae's. Like maybe, Rez? There were minor grammar issues that made me a little confused but didn't stop me from reading the book!

Waiting For You

At first glance, I didn't want to read it. Being dead honest, the synopsis didn't hit me the same way it would if I was reading a book I have read before. The synopsis definitely doesn't do the book ANY justice.
I loved Celeste's character and personality. I wished there could've been more points of view, like how Lazarus behaved before meeting her. Or Dexter's point of view seeing and meeting his mate.

Caged

This is my second time reading the book and it will always be absolutely the best.

The first chapter, I believe, could've been explained and/or described a little bit more. And I thought putting actors as Thalia and the other characters were unnecessary. Instead, you could've described what they looked like because those images didn't help me envision what was happening.
I loved the plot but thought we could've had more insight on her relationship with Cage - maybe add those as the first chapter instead of talking about her mother dying and leaving. Although her mother dying and her leaving was an important part of the story, it wasn't as important as Cage and Everett. And I also thought you could've described her walking over the border a bit more - her hesitation on crossing back. Maybe more flashbacks since she has PTSD.
Overall, though, the book was great.

Secrets, Lies, and Love

I didn't finish the book, just letting you know.
I'm writing this review based on the 17 chapters that I've read because I'm going to forget about writing the review after I read all 88 chapters.

Okay, so I thought you could describe some of the things a little bit more and make the plot more known throughout the chapters. I mean, it's pretty clear that Harry is catching feelings but I think you're trying to make the character's thoughts as if he couldn't admit his feelings. And I believe that the multiple points of view besides Harry's and Savannah's is unnecessary because we already can tell what's going on between the two and don't need Anna's egoistic one - my opinion. The synopsis seemed a little strange to me; I believe Savannah was saying how everyone hates her, but HARRY doesn't care when it should be HARRY has many secrets but Savannah doesn't care, (although, I might be wrong about that.) I love the book thus far though! Can't wait to finish it, Rosie!

Fire Girl and Water Boy

While reading this I couldn't help but think of that game fire boy and water girl, or whatever it's called. Some of the words in here seemed too formal for a book like this. And there were a few times where I was confused but I think I was just reading it too fast. I can't help but think that the guy is playing Saf but hey. Very Emotional

This book hit me deep down where no one has ventured in a long time. I am very glad this book made me laugh moreover, making me want to resurface some things I swept under the rug. This is book needs to be on your priority list. This is a must-read.

THIS BOOK IS FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!! Omg, this is like my go-to book whenever I need a cheesy yet roooooomantic book to read! When I saw the book was finally completed I was like YO, SHE DID. (or he, IDK). Your writing style is great. You sometimes lack certain details in certain areas. Like, maybe dramatize a little bit more. Other than that, there wasn't any problem with your book. I enjoyed it and can't wait to read your sequel.

I loved, loved, loved it. I especially related to Whitney and all her troubles. Overall this book was the literal best thing I have ever read. It kept me literally LAUGHING OUT LOUD. Congrats, Congrats, Congrats.

Die For Love

The synopsis gave me a lot of information and it would've worked fine with what I've read if you haden't added that second part of the plot in there. From what I could understand from what I've read, you kept fusing sentences together, that would've been well of by themselves. For example, when Karie ws thinking something (or it was her friend thinking something about her) you had one sentence that ran so long, it looked like a paragraph. Also, you used a lot of exclamation points! which really threw me off the course of the story.
