A cutesy/thirsty/heart warming story

I really enjoyed the read. It was a short story with a straightforward plot. Dani is an awesome person. She acts the part of a person that’s been scarred and betrayed. I couldn't help but wonder, or more like wanted because I'm petty, what reaction John would have had if he saw his ex wife doing great. For Peter, I feel like he was much of a straightforward character. I don't know how to describe him more as I felt like he was lacking something... I especially also think that Dani could have prolonged giving him a second chance. I mean sugar and alcohol is bad but he should have stuck with his guns and waited. But we also know he was a regular user and relapsing is a very hard experience. Still, cheating or on the verge of cheating should be met with consequences. But in the end, I will not deny the fact that I felt giddy and excited knowing they are together. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

9/10 — Would definitely read again and recommend this book. I read it in two days, it took me a while as I only picked up reading when I wasn't writing.
