Stress-free Novel

A typical cliché of an arrange marriage story. Both parties who don’t like each other initially but when they develop something, they pretended not to be interested at all. A typical male protagonist who is an ass hole at the start and a female protagonist who seems to be submissive but eventually playing hard to get when the first started to fall in love with her. It is a simple love story to enjoy without too much heart-breaking scenes. You can simply enjoy while reading this without getting yourself stress. Just you’re chill out moment.

I’m obviously not really into grammar, because as you can see, I do have grammar issues myself. Is it only me? Many of the writer’s sentence constructions are hard to understand but I can still get what she is referring, though.

PS: If Yaiyai (well both families are) can be annoying because of her calculating attitude, I am more irritated by Theora’s paranoia to Nicholas. And what’s with the wedding ceremony again? Is the first wedding a bogus?

Fast Pass

It’s a fast-phase book and nothing really significant happened. Boy meets girl. Girl meeting another boy but eventually realizes she likes the first one. It just shows like those sweety-munchy-bunchy thingy teen couples are doing. I thought the first chapter is kind of interesting. My attention was caught on whose identity of “him”, the main character (Jessy) is referring to and my curiosity arouse. As I continue reading, I assume that there would be more interesting plot will come on the way but failed. As the story goes faster, the more boring it takes. Well not until at the later chapter that Jessy recalled the tragic incident which happened to her in the past. Then after that, fast forward again; All of them got along together. And I mean, EACH of them got aloooong as ONE big happy family. And the “him” who was mentioned at the first chapter, did not really get any highlights at all (Maybe because there's another story for him. Perhaps I can read that after this). There’s a little conflict that comes between the couple but it did not make more than any interesting for me.

The story maybe more exciting but the writer might be busy with some other works to give into more details. It is not bad to have a fast-phase story but it should not lack intricate details to make it more engaging to read.

Oh, at the epilogue, I also listen to the song Closer while reading that part LOL.

One more thing, I also made a comment about this in one chapter. I find it weird about Jessy's sleeping habit just to make an initial connection to the other guy.

Free is the Best!

I’m not really into werewolves stories before but after encountering those to Facebook ads, it caught my interest. I became too tired to read it from those apps which needed coins to continue reading. So here I am, enjoying this free novel with a definite ending. It’s free but the story is amazing. This is very satisfying that you don’t need to wait for another day to earn a reward to unlock another chapter. It’s true. The best things in life are free.

Impressive!

Wow! This novel is a wow! How the author described everything in this novel was just wow! You can feel the fervent love between the couple. You can sense the intensity of their soul whenever they express each other from their own perspective. The author’s narrations are so on point, and having much sense. She knows what she is writing and where to lead it through.

Her description in everything is precise. The locations are clearly defined that you feel that you are in the same place where the characters are. You can feel the 90’s vibe during their teens. How awful was their environment where and how homey where they at, on the last chapter.

I wish I have the opportunity and the means to read the first 2 books of this series.

Sensed to be Sensual

A very carnal novel. This is a story about people’s sexuality. Although the plot covers more erotic scenes which are necessary for the setup, it not just comprise about lust, passion, intimacy and desire. This also shows the trauma and ordeal of some people regarding sex.

The twists of events are very well executed. I thought that Clark is the main lead here. It was the way he was portrayed at the beginning of the chapter. Or he’s still is but in a different direction? This turn of event was seemed built as a surprise factor.

I like Petra’s character. She strikes me as a person who has self-confidence and has a strong-willed personality. It is unlikely for me to root the supporting lead rather than the main character. Yup, I adore Petra’s nature more compare to Camilla. I'm interested to Alex's story as well.

Save the Best for Last

This last installment of a 4-part series is my favorite which led me into different kind emotions.
1. Admiration – I admired Olivia’s determination to become a strong, successful and independent woman. Although beneath those accomplishments have lay insecurities that were brought by her past, she did not think it as a hindrance but a motivation to achieve her goals.
2. Exhilaration – The erotic part was narrated smoothly that you don’t picture it as a sex scene per se. You can feel that the couple are not just having sex but making love. The sweet moments when they are together are not cringy and overdone.
3. Nervousness & Anticipation – When Delia announced that she was carrying Wes’ child, oh man, my heart beats faster. Not with that b!tch! I anticipated ferociously, that Wes is not the father. (I feel funny for myself having this affected for a story. What a shallow me. LOL)
4. Relieve and Triumph – But of course, after the result comes out. The baby is not Wes’! Why would I feel otherwise?
5. Feeling Hungry (LOL!) – The author did an amazing job on describing Olivia’s food and her eating habit that I want to eat what she is eating.

I like how the story’s context goes as two people who both have nightmares; one was abandoned and the other was the one who abandon, can heal each other.

It seems that this story was made best for last.

Expect the Unexpected

Intriguing story in another level. I never predicted the twist happened on Blake and Adrienne’s relationship. It may not what you wanted to expect but it is acceptable. It is fine to read this story for a different perspective

Thought Bubbles:
- Love knows no gender. Love knows no boundaries.
- It is not right to continue a relationship based on the length of time you have been together even though you already knew that it is no longer possible.

Message to the Author:
You never failed to amaze me through your writing. I’m not really into this kind of plot (those girl to girl; man to man thing, oh well) but you’ve made me read and finished this novel. But oopsy, I remembered that Broke Back Mountain was one of my favorite movies. Perhaps it depends on the contents of the story. If it has depth, it will surely catch my interest. Like this novel. It is engrossing that you want to know what will happen next so you tend to keep on reading. Your narrations are very detailed and clear. You’re a great storyteller.

Wrong but Felt so Right

Such a naughty and promiscuous female lead. Even with this kind of personality, I cannot make myself hating Sofia. I love her from the novel The Wrong Move and I love her more in this book. The writer made Sofia’s nature very flirty but in a cool and likable means. This is nicely written fiction that even though the main characters had acted negatively as players, overly coquettish and doing false decisions; me as a reader did not feel irritated. Even if they do, the writer will find her way to remove that irritation. I even found the characters' idiocy funny and amusing! It is also infrequent to find a story about two female friends who made a game/bet over a hot, hunky and a somewhat good-catch man. Moreover, I like the plot development which shown an unusual situation but still created in a natural and not so dragging way. As per my computation, 5 is the highest, I would give this work an average rating score of 4.25 based on the author’s strange but entertaining plot ideas.

Lastly, I wish that Rea would create a nice story about Spencer as well. I think this certain character deserves that.

Cheating, Cheaters, Cheatee…

It is a rarity in a novel to have a cheater female protagonist but appears ordinary in actuality. Let’s face it. Cheaters are very common in real life that sometimes or more often than not (whatever, can’t figure it out), with the third person involved, they ended up happily together. A victim of a cheater can also be a cheater. The same as a cheater can always be a cheater and a cheatee can always be a cheatee. With that, this story mainly concerns about the truth about cheating. This novel can also be titled as “The Science of Cheating” or it can be “The Art of Cheating”. Personally, for me and I supposed for everyone, cheating is SH!T. In spite of it, this novel is not a sh!t. It has its own appeal that you can’t stop yourself reading. No boring scenes at all. Every chapter are interesting and very intriguing. I like EL’s POV at the prologue then Zane’s POV at chapter 11 with the same scenario. We are able to know each of their perspectives on that beautiful scene. Overall, it is a nice story and has a brilliant plot.

And one more thing, this is the author’s first novel yet she did this great and exceptional. Rea Holland, you are indeed such a talented writer.

Soulful!

The way the writer writes this short novel, you can feel the character’s pain, heartaches and struggles. I like her style by using the diary in every beginning of a chapter in expressing the character’s emotion in a very personal level. But, is it already finished in chapter 8?

Young Love, Sweet Love

It is nice to be young and in love. Just the same, this is a coming-of-age love story that includes constant denial, confusions and indecisive decisions of the characters. Making things complicated that are not really complicated which is unnecessary but essential since this is a fiction after all. This is a charming story for teens and young at heart.

And heck, the girl here always attracts trouble wherever she is alone.

When I thought the story is complete..

I fail to notice that this novel is not yet finished. I never want to read a book with incomplete chapters because I hate waiting. But what should I do, I started reading it anyways & reached up to chapter 34. So as of the moment, here’s my opinion about the story.

The writer started the chapter that pictured a female lead to be a tough one and trying herself to be more reliable by her own capacity even it is not needed as per her status. I've loved it!

But I don’t like the part that she seems wants to impress or get the boss’ attention on her first day by giving him coffee and stuff that I think to be unnecessary. With that, my strong impact on her personality lessens. I mean you can think of some ideas that will give more strength to her character and will still move the boss. I feel a little bit of disappointment on that part. She appears to be a strong-independent woman at the start, but nope. At first, I found the villain very entertaining. The villainess here is a bitch and stupid-funny. Well not until the almost rape incident happened, she’s actually an evil-wicked-bitch.

This story exemplifies the trauma, the terror, the psychological sufferings and behaviors of a sexual assault victim.

I need a Legal Counsel! LOL

In many novels, most of the guys are the wealthiest. They can be the CEO, President or owner of a big company. This is different. At first, I thought that Alexander is a billionaire and just pretending to be a pauper. Well sorry self to burst my bubble, because I never imagine nor guess the plot developments the writer has created for this story. But for me, it still lacks details about Alex being a fugitive even though the real criminals are found. After all, he ran away from prison when he was still a suspect. Is he simply acquitted for being a fugitive? I need to ask a lawyer. I just got curious about the process. LOL.

Family is Love!

This emphasizes how to be a good parents to their children and how important family support in everyone’s life. The bromance between Lawrence and Ethan was a lit! I loved the update of the other characters mentioned on the first series of this novel.

A Bad Antagonist could be Good

The story is ok. I just find it weird about Lucy's character. She was so in love with Liam but it's so easy for her to gave up that love; and even becomes a very good friend of the couple instantly! It would probably better if she has this bitch-liar-gold digger personality. This would add more spice to the story.

Too Short but Still Pleased

This is the third story I had finished reading from this writer. The title of the first one is Cold Showers which I just stumbled in a free sponsored ad in Facebook. The interesting summary caught my attention and eventually lead me to download Inkitt app. Unfortunately, Cold Shower is already unavailable in this app.

Back here in The Billionaire's Struggle, the story line is too short that leaves me hanging but at the same time, I somewhat felt satisfied. You just have to build your own imaginative perspective to create a happier ever ending story of the characters.

Furthermore, I noticed that the writer has one thing in common with her stories. Well at least to these three I had read: Cold Showers, Connected by Heart and Billionaire’s Struggle. The male lead always has a child before meeting the female lead. Oh, the other one is Love or Betrayal (also, already not found on this app) which I started a few months ago but haven’t finished it; the male lead has a daughter too. It’s not bad though, I just saw that one consistency to her plots. But then again, I decided to read all of her stories which I still found intriguing.

And for a review, my opinion here is longer than the story itself! LOL!

PS: Hey beloved writer, why and where are your other novels have gone?

Enjoyed this a lot!

I've read this a few months ago and only today I am able to write a review about this. But by the way, this is actually not a review. I just wanted to say that this is one of the first novels I read in my early Inkitt days and also one of the the reasons why I continue to use this app. Do I need to say more?

Endearingly Poetic

It is a very well written novel. The plot runs smoothly which is very enjoyable to read. The characters are all lovable and charming. They have their own mysterious personalities; mysterious in a more captivating way. The writer knows which poetic words to use to make the story more interesting and fun to read, can’t help myself smiling while reading.

Good Read Novel

A story about two lost souls who closed themselves to the world but open their hearts to each other. It’s a good read novel that makes the readers' hearts flutter. It’s also an action story but not in a drastic way. I can say it’s more of a romance story it is. There’s a little bit of inconsistency in some chapters that the writer must need to be corrected, though.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE....

The cheesy stuff gave me goose bumps! But hell, I love this novel! I love Suart and Patricia plus all of their friends. I love the story line goes. I love the chase, the denials and ignorant of the characters, how the table turns. I love them all. After reading this book, I read it two more times. That’s how I love this novel!

Very Entertaining Story

I love the plot and the characters with their own unique personalities. You can't help but smile while reading the romantic/sweet parts and almost cry at the sad parts.

What I just don't like was the writer had to copy/paste scenes when one character have to recall some events in the past. Well, I just skip reading them again.

I appreciates the bonus chapters of the book which gave the readers more details on what really happened in a certain scene.

I wish the writer would also write a novel about Justin with Savannah and Raven with Mason. Drake's character would also be interesting. I'm already satisfied in Daniel and Amelia's development. Perhaps, we can just follow their story by including them to other characters' novel.
