"I admit that I was surprised. Was expecting actual dragons and yet I loved how it was hinted at with the shadows and smoke, without it delving into the supernatural. Summer, you outdid yourself with this one. The tackling of the Japanese mafia without fully saying it or actually delving into it in depth was beautiful and powerful. Kai was a Force, powerful and violent, but Violet? The complete opposite and yet they complimented each other beautifully. Even in stories, opposites can be attracted to each other. I recommend this one. "

"I really enjoyed this quite dark and sad story. I’m not sure how you made me empathise and love a 7’ psychotic monster but you did. His story is every bit as traumatic as hers and the relationship between them was truly beautiful. I did think the ending felt a little lightweight and rushed but the HEA made me forgive everything lol"

"I LOVED this book... the parallels of the story line...the love and Longing... It was beautifully written and hard to put down. You are drawn into the 2 main characters rooting for the Girl and Rooting for The Dragon to be unleashed. A great romance. I am not a person of vengeance but I loved the way the story unfolded. I would recommend it to any adult who has struggled with violence but found real Love. There are strong images that can be triggering... but the warning is in the beginning."

"The title of this book suggests a fantasy novel, but it is a dark romance novel set in Japan. The imagery of the dragon is used as a metaphore in a modern day story. Summer Steele is a very articulate writer and draws you in to the emotional angst as the characters grow and the story progresses. It takes a little bit to set up the characters at the start but well worth it. A really good story. I recommend making time to read this in one sitting. "
