"The plot is interested and the storyline compelling. The only thing I'm disliking is the fact that information is constantly repeated. Repetitive references to the same story which makes the story become boring. "

The powers that Tad possess are well thought out and the reaction of other's towards his abilities are right in line. The story was fast paced from the start and so many things happening at once. "I'll admit, when I first saw the cover, I thought "Killer clown cliche, big whoop." But, upon reading "The Color of Evil" I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. The story is three-dimensional and fleshed out, the characters believable and easy to picture, the plot engaging, etc. The story effortlessly swings between supernatural thriller and high school drama, and the juxtaposition of these two ends creates an uncanny sort of feeling that sticks with the reader. I'll admit I'm not yet finished with this story, but what I've read so far has excelled far beyond my expectations."

"The Color of Evil reminded me of Stephen King's "Under the Dome." It has the kind of plot that focuses a lot on youth, but also involves the adults in a small community (in this case, Cedar Falls, Iowa). I really enjoyed empathized with Tad McGreevy as he shoulders the burden of his paranormal power to see auras around others that tell him who is naughty or nice. Additionally, he relives the crimes of the evil ones in nightmares. A truly thrilling, well-written, frightening story with great characters, and I'll be reading the second book (Red Is for Rage) and the third book (Khaki=Killer) to find out what happens.. Or, better yet, since I noticed that it was recorded by the author and is on ACX, I'll be listening to the adventures of all the characters in this exciting series as I drive my long commute to work."
