Love to read. Love to write. I'd spend all my time in books but I'm also a wife, mother, and full-time employee. Hoping to reach more readers!

Beautifully Written

As the title of this review says, this was beautifully written. I loved the descriptions and colors you brought into this story. There are a few edits that I suggested in feedback. I hope you find those helpful. SPOILER ALERT! I was happy to see that Calina was able to repay those who harmed her, but that they knew exactly why those terrible things had come to them. Recommend this story!

Unexpected

I really enjoyed this so I wish it was longer or had an epilogue where we can see the life Baise and Rue have together. After seeing the way Rue dealt with the first set of guards, I did wish Blaise talked to her. Rue is so strong and fast, she could've immobilized them for her escape without ripping everyone to shreds. Even though they guarded that awful place, mercy would've made me root harder for her. At the end, I was terrified of her and glad she was going wherever she was so she wouldn't hurt anyone else: and I just trusted she wouldn't hurt Blaise. I would recommend this to readers of fantasy.

Curiouser and Curiouser

The author pulls you right into the story from the start, which I appreciate. About half-way, the story shifts and focuses on two other characters, but I wanted to learn more about those in the first half. It felt like there was so much more to that story. An intense read!

Disturbing and Addictive

The author throws you right into the story, which I love. There's nothing slow about this. I'm disturbed, yet intrigued. There are some technical fixes to make, such as capitalization and extra spaces, from what I caught, but the story is pretty solid. We have a deep look into Ana and her desires. I find the mother most intriguing because it seems she's holding on to so many secrets that could explain some of her actions and, possibly, Ana's. I have so many questions that I hope are answered in future chapters!
