Review of "Chaos" Chapter 4

I want to start this off by stating that I do not consider myself to be a fan of greek mythology itself. However, the author's writing style and dialogue between characters has me hooked! I am excited to see more about how the relationships within the story will develop! I did notice a few grammatical errors here and there, but nothing that distracted from my understanding of the plot. I cannot wait to read on! :)

Review of "Amina" Chapter 1

I really enjoyed the first chapter in this story. I appreciate how the main character Amina comes from a non-eujocentric culture, therefore her only concept of marriage being a ticket to freedom. I empathize with her emotions on how she is treated by her mother, feeling as if she does not love her - only wants her to get married so she can be rid of her. I cannot be sure, but something tells me that is not true. Yes, there are grammatical errors throughout as English is not the author's English language so they do not bother me that much in this case. Overall I think this was a great opening chapter and cannot wait to read on!

Review of "Stuck in Between" Chap 1

Even though there is only one chapter of this story published at my time of writing this, I am very excited to see what happens next. Due to the incident that happened with Liv and her dad, I empathized and routed for the rest of her story to play out in her favor instantly. I am not sure if the "cutie werewolf" that she encounters is just a figment of her imagination or if what happens toward the end of this chapter is supposedly real. Overall, great job Kara and Saamiah! Can't. wait to read on!

Review of "A Potential Suitor"

I am currently on chapter 11 and am very much enjoying the story so far! The main character Amelia has a personality that is really growing on me. Her lack of confidence resonates with me. From what I have read, I hope that Blake's hardened exterior softens more as the story unfolds and that he becomes more delicate with Amelia as the story unfolds. Overall, I really like the protagonist and hope the best for her as the story plays out! Excellent job Natalie!

"Brown Eyed Heaven" Chap 1 Review

Even though I am only on chapter one I am already excited for what is next for protagonist Paige. I love that the story is set in a town that exudes black excellence. Something that really stuck out to me was the way that the author described African American hairstyles. I wonder what the relationship between Paige's mom and dad is like? Amazing start, I cannot wait to read on!

"Devils Angel" Chapter 1 Review

I am certainly excited to read the rest of this book! I like the tone that the author sets for the main protagonist and the writing style as well as the tense that it is written in. I wonder what "favor" Mr. Woodsten is referring to? Great start! Can' t wait to read on :)

Review of Chapter 1 of Highway 68

I really enjoyed the first chapter of this story. Something that really struck out to me was having the main character herself narrate the story, making the tone feel more real. Without spoiling anything for anyone, the mix of the character trying to help herself remain calm and the plot twist makes me excited for the rest of her journey. Definitely a great start!

Review of The Wrong Train Prologue and Chapter 1

I was immediately hooked into the story due to the author's use of prose within the prologue which makes the reader sympathize with the protagonist. It helped me to better understand the character's mannerisms in chapter 1 and root for her. Sophie just wants to stay out of trouble and not be mischievous. However, it seems to be attracted to her just as much as she is attracted to it. The author's use of the word "behave" (a constant reminder that the character tells herself), really hammers the tone of the story home. I hope things look up for Sophie as I further progress within the story.
