Off to a great start!

The premise here is really good. I love the idea that this boy goes to earth for the first time and falls in love with dishes. It reminds me of this one character from The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. He's a slime monster and his deepest desire is to become a hotel bellhop. Your idea just reminded me of that.

I also love the line about the human realm being nothing special. That was excellent.

So good! Just when you think that every possible avenue for fairy tales has been exhausted, someone new comes in and writes something fresh and exciting. I'm especially intrigued by the magic system and the way in which you explored it in the prologue. I love the buildup so far, and I'm curious to see where the story goes from here. Lyrical

What a lovely story! I generally agree with most of the other reviews. The thing that most stood out to me were the songs that you put in there. I've tried writing songs and poetry before, and I've found it extremely difficult to make them work. Getting the story, the feeling, the sound of the lyrics as they are read to all be right is incredibly challenging, yet I think you do a great job of writing good songs. I think that's particularly commendable. Keep up the great work!

Burning Magic: Lake and Lyre

This is really good so far! I'm definitely getting some Percy Jackson vibes with all the Greek Mythology references and the way in which it ties into the original world you have. I think your ideas so far are much more creative than what Percy Jackson had to offer, and there's a lot of possibility here. The guy running for president in the prologue is especially intriguing. Even with only two chapters you've managed to set up an interesting story that already leaves the reader with questions.
