Prologue

Kez

Tonight is dark, darker than any other. Kissing my wife and infant daughter goodbye is something I knew would happen one day, but nevertheless, there’s no way I could prepare for the anguish I feel inside.

It’s for their safety, for my baby’s safety. My last step is to say goodbye to my mother and leave her with a message so that when the time comes, my daughter will have someone to turn to for answers.

I knew being the King was something I never wanted. I tried a million different ways to get out of it, but the crown came, anyway.

At least I camouflaged my baby girl, and it was successful. She’ll stay hidden until the time comes, and she can’t hide anymore. Hopefully, by then the dream I have that the Rox and Sol can live in harmony will have come to pass and will no longer be a threat.

But even as I think about it, uncertainty and unease weigh in my gut. Above everything, I hope she stays safe and realizes how much I love her and that I wasn’t some deadbeat dad that abandoned her.

This is it. They’re coming for me, and I won’t have a chance to watch her grow.

Note from the authour: this book has been finished since last year. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, so I figured here is the best place for it.

If you like it let me know. I will be releasing chapters as I edit them. Thank you for reading. And remeber you’re awesome.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
