Introducing Bella and Dubry
Bella and Dubry are the best of friends. They have been friends for a very long time. Dubry even had himself magically shrunk by a good, wise old sorceress called Demgaia, just so he could live alongside Bella. He thought it would be easier if they were the same size. All the other elves thought it was a good idea and had their size changed too.
They live in a forest called Ingledew Forest and they each have their own homes there. Bella’s home is high up in one of the trees. In fact, it is built into the tree trunk itself. There is a ladder on the outside of her home which goes all the way down to the forest floor. Bella does not need the ladder to get to and from her home because she can fly. But her friends, who don't, need it to come visit her.
Her windows have a rainbow shimmer on the glass and wooden branch frames. Her home has a beautiful ornate front door which is painted yellow, and it has a large silver bell hanging from the door frame. The bell tells Bella when she has visitors, they don't even need to ring it. You see, it is a magical bell, although its personality is something less than sparkling. At times, it can be downright moody.
But her home is a cosy two roomed type of home. Room one is the living room, with the bed area curtained off for privacy and to keep it cosy and dark. The bed is strewn with lots of multicoloured blankets and pillows. It looks so soft and inviting.
In the other part of the room is a settee, armchair, a table and some chairs. The floor is made of polished wood and there is a lovely round multicoloured rug laid upon it. On the walls are pretty paintings.
To finish off the room and to make it that bit more cosy there is a simple fireplace which in the colder months can be seen filled with burning logs.
In her slightly smaller second room, is her kitchen. The worktops and cupboard fronts are all purple and twinkle like crystals in the light from the kitchen window. Again, the floor is made of polished wood. The oven and the fridge are just plain white and simple but are powered by fairy magic dust.
Close by is Dubry's home, and from the outside it looks just like a toadstool. But if you look carefully, you can see a little white door with a shiny brass knocker and two windows with white shutters. Dubry's home is on the forest floor, amongst the tall trees and the beautiful smelling flowers.
When you go inside, you can see that his home also consists of two rooms. One being the living room, but there is no big comfy bed area in here, instead there is a dark green hammock suspended between two painted wooden stands. On the hammock is a simple blue pillow and blanket.
The floor of the living room is made of some kind of soft red material that squishes under your feet when you walk on it. He doesn't have a rug on his floor because he thinks it's soft enough.
Dubry also has a settee, armchair, table and chairs in his room. He also has a simple fireplace, in front of which he likes to warm his toes in winter whilst the flames burn the wooden logs.
His other room is not a kitchen because he goes to Bella's home for his meals. Well, she is the better cook after all. This room is filled with all his musical instruments. He has violins, harps, guitars, flutes and pipes of all sizes. Dubry looks after them so well, they are all gleaming. They each have their own place in the room, be it on the wall or on a stand on the floor.
At the other end of the room there are drums of all shapes and sizes. They are brightly coloured and decorated with paint, jewels and beads.
Now you know what their homes looks like, you should know what they look like.
Bella is a fairy, she is 342 years old which is young for a fairy, and she has long purple hair which she usually has tied up in whatever style she has chosen for the day. Her face and skin is a pale peachy colour. She is thin but strong and her wings are a see through purple which sparkles like jewels.
She has many different dresses, in all different colours and levels of fanciness. Same goes for her shoes, she also likes to wear headbands made of flowers.
She loves to cook all sorts of wonderful things and infuses all sorts of drinks. She loves to sing and dance. One of her favourite things is to fly around the forest and watch her friends go by.
Dubry is an elf, he is 344 years old, and he has medium length loose curly brown hair. His skin is more of a golden sun kissed colour and his ears are pointed at the top. He is also of slim build but again very strong.
He wears shirts, jackets and breeches of many colours, but he prefers ones that are brown or green. On his feet, he generally wears knee length boots in either brown or black leather.
He loves to play his musical instruments, sing and dance. He also loves to eat and drink, especially if Bella has made it.
