Mechanical Machinations
Maddison Birchson is a mechanic.
For the first ten years of her life, however, she was the daughter of a bigshot criminal. A criminal of the grand theft auto kind.
Until she was taken away.
She’s made a life for herself in Mid-City, upgrading the cars of the various street-racers that call Mid-City home. She has a bestfriend, a boyfriend, and a career.
But her father has gone missing, and her brothers need her.
After being called to Terradale by her three younger brothers when their father goes missing, Maddison will have to use her mechanic skills to solve the mystery of his disappearance.
And maybe forge a new family from her old one along the way, if they don’t drag her into their criminal ways before that happens.
Old habits die hard, and Maddison is one stubborn woman.

Hi Kelsey Batchelor
I recently went through your story Mechanical Machinations and I loved it so much. Your storytelling is gripping and I kept thinking how amazing it would look as a comic
Maddison’s life as a skilled mechanic with a criminal past instantly hooked me. The contrast between her daily garage work and the urgency when her father disappears and her brothers call for help would create visually striking, emotionally charged scenes
I also love how her mechanical talent and loyalty to family set the stage for both action and heart. Her drive to solve the mystery and protect her family purposefully juxtaposes grit with empathy and would translate beautifully into dynamic comic panels
I specialize in adapting stories into manga and comics and I’d love to bring your story to life visually. No pressure though I genuinely think your work would shine in comic form. If you’re interested in a paid collaboration I’d love to discuss bringing Mechanical Machinations to life visually
If you’re interested please message me on Instagram or DM me on DC (peterjones_90) so we can bring Mechanical Machinations to life visually. I’ll be waiting to hear from you
