Prologue

"If you don't feel like the main character, you should know, lights are on you right now"

Alex Mav

He told me to put on his headphones. And I did, but for no reason, it felt wrong, so I took them off after a dozen of songs. First, I heard drill noise, then her screams, and she cried begging him "...don't do this to us, to our child, please. I would do whatever you want, I will be whoever you want" He told her that she was a slut and the child wasn't his. At 10 years old, I couldn't understand much, but I knew something is out of normal. So I decided to check, knowing that Christian would not approve my minute of rebelling, honestly, I didn't care about his order the screams were scratching my soul. My mom's yelling made me cry, I wanted to stop whatever is going on. My cheeks were burning, and my entire body was trembling. When I reached my mom's orangery, I saw a big hole in the wall. My dad dragged my bounded mom and put something to her nose. She fell unconscious, and then he sealed up her mouth. He pulled her up like a doll, putting her into the wall's hole. He just got rid of a body, not caring about her feelings and words she told him before death. Our mom will be cold as the walls of this house forever and nothing can keep her warm.

" What are you doing here, I told you to be in your bedroom and didn't leave it for any circumstances." Christian was angry at me. But how could I stay safe in my room while Mom was begging for mercy?

" What's going on? Why mom is crying, and why is he putting her in the hole in the wall? We need to help her"

Christian looked down at me and the words he said to me made a 10 years old girl feel like a grown-ass woman.

" That is what love does to people, dove. We can't help her, actually no one can help us either" I frowned and asked.

" I thought love means never hurt those who you love" Christian sight,

" I thought that too"

We both watched how our dad bricked up our pregnant mom into the wall. I didn't understand why we can't ask Dad not to do that to her, maybe he would listen to his kids and let Mom leave. But not long after that I understood that my brother was right, and our dad is gone, we are facing a monster, dead soul, heartless psychotic corpus. Maybe, our mom was a ghost who lived in that walls with her unborn baby, but we were prisoners of her worst nightmare.

" What about us" Suddenly I asked my brother.

" What do you mean us."

" Is gonna our love going to be as ugly as our parent's love?"

" No, our love is going to protect us"

" Protect from whom?"

" Our dad"

Since then, we were not allowed in the greenhouse, and none of our questions about Mom were answered, even tho we knew the truth. And since then we have both become more than children. We became survivors.
