SHORTCHANGED

"My name is Chelsea and am from Ariendel ,recently a transfer student from Wales High School.Am glad to join you guys."I introduced myself to my class members ,Mundin grabbed a sport for me as she was glad to meet me.She became my first friend here.I met a lot of students who welcomed me well apart from Shiru ;Mundins best friend.

Shiru aproached Mundin and asked her if she knew the reason why i had to change schools in fhe middle of the term.Mundin never even bothered to ask.Weeks turned into months and i settled in perfectly.I was happy here and whenever my aunt visited me ,she came in her own escort and comfort being they were rich.

Mundin and i grew close and became best of friends which Shiru didnt like.One time i fell sick and hardly concentrated in class,at break time Mundin made inquires and offered to take me to the school clinic.I just brushed it off saying i had only a headache and that al be fine.

She led me to our domitory sole purposely to take my medicines and within no time i came back to my normal self.This spells kept on comming and Shiru cautioned Mundin.

"Shiru,"she said"Chelsea must be into drugs.Have you not seen how sometimes she behaves weiredly;her moods is off,she sometimes becomes agressive and sometimes have crying spells.sometimes shes tired and when you want to take her to the school clinic she preferes going to the dormitory."

I had tried severally to quit taking hard drugs.I needed to talk to someone to help me but i didnt trust anyone until one particular night that everything changed.Mundin found me just on time she couldnt believe her eyes only tears rolled down her cheeks.she was dissapointed...

She was hurt because all along Shiru was right and she was protecting me not knowing the truth"i was only 8 yrs when i started using drugs under my uncles care.My mum died when i was 5 yrs old while my dad left my mum.I have tried several times to stop but i can't."

Mundin held my hands and showed me that she understood me and that she wont judge me.We whent to the principal's office and my aunt was called.The reason why i transfered to ghis school is because of drugs,my aunt explained to me that it was easy for me to get accepted here because the principal was my dad.I tried not to cry but tears rolled,no words would come out of me.I was in a state of shock.I wanted to be alone to think about things.

As i was in the school garden something caught my attention....as i watched the beetle struggle with its load uphill i forced myself to restrategise my life.
