Incident report
The Hanson family had decided to go out for Chinese for dinner. They found an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, which had good prices and a report said it had very good food.
As they sat down to their table with their food and ate, the waitress put down the plate with eight fortune cookies on it. Everybody was having a wonderful night, and as the meal came to an end, each family member took a random cookie, cracked it, and ate it.
Unknown to Little Timmy, he cracked a particular cookie that had a very bad fortune on it. Moments later, Little Timmy was rushed off to the hospital and unfortunately never made it. He was dead on arrival, and the autopsy report said massive hemorrhage. In the coming weeks, several other incidents occurred, all with casualties dead on arrival.
An SCP agent named Sarah Johnson read the news report in the newspaper and decided to investigate along with a couple of other agents. They arrived at the restaurant and spoke with the owner, who told them about the plate of fortune cookies that had been served to the Hanson family.
As they examined the plate, they noticed that one cookie was missing. After questioning the Hanson family and other witnesses, they learned that Little Timmy had cracked open the missing cookie and had suffered a fatal hemorrhage soon after.
As Sarah and her team secured the remaining cookies and brought them to an undisclosed location for study, they realized that one of the cookies had an anomalous effect. When cracked open, it would predict a single future event with 100% accuracy, and only the person or persons who cracked the cookie would be affected.
As they studied the cookie, they discovered that the only way to reverse or alter the predicted future was through extreme means: someone would have to murder the person who cracked open the cookie, or that person would have to commit suicide.
As Sarah and her team struggled to contain the object, they began to experience strange occurrences. One agent who had cracked open the cookie stubbed their toe, another who had cracked open the cookie developed a sudden nosebleed, and a third who had cracked open the cookie heard ghostly whispers in their ear.
Sarah realized that they were running out of time. They had to find a way to alter the predicted future before it came true. They decided to sacrifice one of their own to prevent the tragedy from occurring.
In a dramatic and suspenseful sequence, Sarah and her team worked to change the predicted future, using all of their skills and resources to stop the tragedy from occurring. However, despite their best efforts, they were unable to alter the predicted future.
The tragedy unfolded exactly as predicted, and Sarah and her team were left to pick up the pieces. They realized that they had underestimated the power of the SCP object, and that they would need to develop new strategies to contain it.
In the end, they were able to contain the object and prevent any further harm. But the experience left them shaken, and they knew that they would need to remain vigilant in their efforts to contain the SCP object.
As Sarah and her team walked away from the containment locker, they suddenly heard a loud clattering noise behind them. They turned to see that the plate on which the SCP object had been placed had suddenly generated another cookie, complete with a new, negative fortune.
Realizing the danger posed by the plate, Sarah and her team took extra precautions to secure it and prevent any further accidents. They placed the plate in a separate containment locker, away from the SCP object, and monitored it closely.
Over time, they were able to develop new protocols and strategies for containing the SCP object and the plate. They established a secure facility for studying and analyzing the objects, and worked to improve their understanding of their anomalous properties.
Despite the risks and challenges, Sarah and her team remained committed to their mission of containing dangerous SCP objects and protecting the world from their harmful effects. They knew that the task ahead of them was daunting, but they were determined to succeed, no matter the cost.
