He's one god-loving murderer.
"If a human found another human stranded on the side of the road, no food, no water, no home, they call them homeless. But when they find a dead body on the side of the road, they freak out. It is then researched and discovered they starved to death. Insane I tell you..."
The TV was controversial that morning.
And hit a young Sekiu's memory bank.
"Honey! I'm heading to work!" I yelled. Little did I know, I wished I hadn't gone.
I walked down the street, whistling to my favorite tune. I bumped into a man. A man wearing a black fedora. He then turned towards me and said: "Come with me young fellow! If you are welcome to it, come apply for our lottery ticket! It's only 2 dollars~" The man said, with a cheeky grin. I said "sure," and followed him. He brought me into a casino, and it almost felt like he dragged me upstairs against my will.
"I apologize, but I am not a salesman." The man says, as he fires a bullet round into my big toe.
"Blame this on your salesman boss. he took classified documents that we did not give him the clear to take. However we have an offer," he said, as blood started pouring out of my foot.
They then slammed a picture on the table. "We will not say who we are, what we are, and why we chose you in particular. But unless you want yourself and your other coworkers to become cannibal meat sold on the black market, I would listen." My mouth was zipped shut, and I listened.
"This girl. 16, and wanted dead. We can't say why, but it is necessary she dies. Honestly, killing her seems overboard to me, but what do I know? I'm just some lackey." He says, flaunting his gun left and right.
"This may be a lot of info to take off the bat, but I promise, I am trying to be as nonthreatening as possible, so if my emotions and my demands seem rushed, know I am doing it for your sake."
"Basically, this girl is wanted dead as I said. I need you to kill her." As a sharp pain hit my heart, I realized that god made this happen. But why was I chosen with such a task?
"Why me in particular? Why not someone in... your line of work?"
"If someone gets their hands dirty, we prefer to use people as pawns then do it ourselves. Its safer legally."
Next thing I know, I was over a 16 year old girls corpse holding a bloody knife, and chanting "God. God. God." Believing god made this all happen helped with my guilt. The last thing that girl saw before she died was a man chanting about god. Oh, how the world has changed to a point where chanting about god is seen as creepy.
Present Time.
Sekiu, as he reminded himself of the past, realized it had been a year since it happened, and a sheer hit of immense guilt he had been bottling for years came out, like shrapnel.
"Honey, I'll be in my room." He said. Once he went in, he wasn't coming back out. It was his final destination, a room with a gun. He had been wanting to kill himself. Assuming god wanted this. He wanted to believe god was making him feel this guilt. But before he could enter the room, he was stopped by his wife.
"Before you go take a nap, I gotta talk to you about something." His wife said.
"I am pregnant!" They were sitting at the dinner table. Him hearing those words were the one thing that kept him sane. He believed this was his only way to repent for his previous sins. He vowed, with his heart, he would never let a single person harm his new child. It was his own personal redemption ark.
Or that's how any normal scenario would be.
But in any fantasy poetry slice of life genre,
The fantasy is always something that happens after the prologue.
Right?
Nope.
8 Months Later
"WAaaAAaAaAAHHHHHHHH" I cried, as I woke up from what felt like an eternal slumber. Last thing I remember was being stabbed in the back by a random man. Then, after looking around, I noticed a familiar face.
That's when it all hit me. I was reincarnated.
But not as some random persons kid. I even still had all my memories, which is not normal.
I saw his face and realized. The man who killed me in my previous life was looming over me, and picked me up. This new life is not just to reincarnate me.
It's to give me a chance at revenge, on my now "father."
