Good modern horror
"This is a pretty decent modern horror short. Unusual storyline. I like the scene-setting in the run-town US town. The first-person narrative combined with snippets from the diary works very well. The language used seems realistic. I definitely was pulled into it and wanted to continue. BTW This is definitely an adult story - with sex and drug use included. Also not for the squeamish."
Pretty Good
"Decent short story you have here. The premise is pretty original, but mother scene is a bit cliche & there are some grammatical/spelling errors (from Emm, not the purposeful styling of Malinda). Has some nice imagery. It needs a little polish, but I enjoyed reading it & think with some development you have a good start on a novel. Cheers!"
Good classic horror
"I enjoyed reading story very much. My favorite part was definitely that part where the main character is visiting the "dead girls" mother, that part gave me goosebumps. I wish the author would have spent a little more time building the characters, I didn't even know the main character was a girl until way into the story. I will definitely read any possible future stories by this author."
Hey, Not Bad
"This is actually pretty good horror. For something you find off somewhere in the internet, I'm quite pleased. The large-font display (I don't know if Inkitt's doing that or just my computer) helped with the pace, and made the narrator sound much smoother than they were. But that's nitpicky. My only real complaint is the middle scene, with the mother--felt pretty cliche, a bit on the trite side. But of course, the whole story's got some tropey elements like that, you just have to not care."
