"This tale captures the reader from the start. A sad terrible tale based on history. WOW so well written. I could not stop reading this story. I am from the area somewhat and had never heard the tale. She was quite a woman. Someone that you both love and hate. The characters were well developed. The way the story was told made you feel like you were there in that time and place. You could feel the cold earth beneath your feet as you were pulled along the trail You could taste the fear and smell the scents. That is a story well told and I certainly hated the horrible things that happened, yet, I was fully engrossed in what was going to happen next. Great job. Thanks ever so much for providing a well researched historical tale. A must read."

"It said that this is a true story. Is it really true. I have a very to hard time with the violence to kids 18 and under, hard to believe someone could be so bad. Even his own daughter. I hope they torture him when they catch him."

"Not a good book but stuck with it and read the whole thing. The punctuation was awful. Many sentences did not make sense and mentally had to be filled in with your own words to try and make sense of what was trying to bed said."
