Prologue
A group of Grayson's dressed in black ran after her as soon as they spotted her as she took the golden scroll off of its racks in the library. It was an ancient library filled with dark ancient secrets that only few had access too. But she had snuck in undetected and was able to locate what she needed the most. The Golden Scroll, kept by the ancient society of Grayson's to keep the knowledge of the future, the past, and the present. She ran fast and quickly slid into the narrow blocks between the building of the library and the hallway. It was smaller than a crawl space but if she was able to squeeze herself in and hide the scroll in her jacket at the same time. She remained silent under the cover of the dark, as the rest of the group had passed by searching for her whereabouts. She waited until everything fell silent in the library, then she took a peek through the crack of the wall. She had to wait until her escape goat came for her. That was the only way she would be leaving this library alive and with the golden scroll. Finally after what seemed like hours, but was actually minutes when the person appeared next to her in the small space. The blue like figure hovered next to her. She let out a gasp, but quickly stifled herself.
"You shouldn't do that, you scared me" she whispered.
The man appeared in his spirit form and was just this faint light of blue aura, even if he wanted to he wasn't able to respond back to her. He just looked at her square in the face and pointed to the scroll she had peeking out of her jacket. She nodded to confirm that she had the scroll. She uncovered it and then immediately covered it with her jacket, making sure the reflective properties of the scroll didn't bounce off against her hiding space's walls. She tucked the scroll in her jacket and held it close to her body. The spirit outstretched his hand towards her. She held on to the scroll and with her other hand she took his hand, which was cool to the touch. It was as if her hand was suspended in the air. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to be engulfed by a sweeping gust of wind. When she opened her eyes, she was back in her study on the other side of the world and far away from the people she took the scroll from. She opened her jacket and took out the scroll. It was very much there and didn't get lost in the teleportation back. She carefully placed the scroll on velvet paper and wrapped it up. Then she opened a loose floorboard from underneath her desk and took out a small chest. It was heavily lined with silver that would keep the scroll and its contents from being detected. She placed the velvet wrapped scroll into the chest and locked it. She sighed in relief the secrets of the scroll she had been tasked to keep and remain hidden so it would never get into the wrong hands ever again.
