Beads of sweat were already forming on his forehead, and he could feel his shirt sticking to his back.
Taki could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he made his way to the center of the arena, his eyes scanning the crowd for a glimpse of Kaito.
As he stepped onto the raised platform, Taki was struck by the sheer enormity of the space.
The walls rose up around him, of the arena were made of rough-hewn stone, their surfaces rough and uneven to the touch.
Arches soared high above Taki's head, their intricate carvings depicting scenes of ancient battles and heroic deeds.
The stone was cool against his fingertips as he traced the shapes of the carvings, marveling at the skill of the craftsmen who had created them.
It ceiling disappearing into the rafters high above.
And all around him, the crowd roared with excitement, their voices blending together into a deafening cacophony of sound.
Taki took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves as he prepared to face off against Kaito.

Kaito, on the other hand, was playing for a different reason.
He had been searching for his missing brother for years, and he believed that the secret to finding him lay in the rare cards that Taki possessed.

The battle raged on for hours, the dragon grew more restless.

Kaito remained calm and collected, his eyes shielding from his shoulders, to not get caught on choke in the dust mist out with a hint of amusement.
When the dust settled, the dragon lay motionless on the ground. The electric phoenix had emerged victorious.
He was fighting for the sheer love of the game, for the thrill of the challenge.

As the sun began to set, the arena was now bathed in darkness, and the card fighters continued their battle. Beyond the walls, the moon had risen and the stars were twinkling in the night sky.
The waves pounded against the shore with a rhythmic force that seemed to shake the very ground beneath Rena's feet. The sound was deafening, a crashing roar that filled her ears and made it difficult to hear anything else. As she ran, the cool spray of saltwater splashed against her face, refreshing and invigorating. The sand was hot and gritty beneath her feet, and she could feel it slipping between her toes with each step.
People walked along a girl sprinted down the beach, their bare feet sinking into the cool sand.
Her hair whipping around her face, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret.
She had wanted to spend her evening watching the card tournament at the nearby arena, but her boss had called her in for a last-minute shift.
But as she ran, the sound of the waves and the sight of the stars above her began to soothe her frayed nerves.
She took deep breaths, feeling the cool air fill her lungs, and pushed herself to run faster.
Just as she was about to pass the arena, the sounds of cheering and shouting caught her attention.
Curious, she slowed down and peered through the gates.
Inside, she saw two card fighters locked in a fierce battle, their cards flashing back and forth. Despite the darkness, the arena was lit up with spotlights, illuminating the fighters and the cheering crowds.
The girl couldn't help but be drawn in by the excitement of it all.
She hesitated for a moment, torn between her responsibilities at work and her desire to stay and watch the battle. She could feel the sweat on her forehead and the musty odor of the crowd making her stomach knot up.
She had been looking forward to this event for weeks and had moved a bit up the venue to secure a good spot.
She made her way through the crowd she found herself blocked by several bunched up trainers.
She tried to push past them, but they wouldn't budge.
Stepped on her tippy-toes, see all the action up front.
Rena made her way to the side and squeezed through a small gap between two people.
She could hear low complaints of shoving and elbows as she made her way forward, but she didn't let it bother her.
She was focused on reaching the front.
As she got closer, she could feel little shoves of their own from the crowd, but she pressed on.
It came to pass after what felt like an eternity, she made it to the front.
She could see the card battle perfectly, and her excitement grew.
Began of continuing battle of the finals rose her being uncomfortable.
People were pushing and shoving, and she was being bothered by the constant movement shifting around per second.
Her mood started to sour, and she felt disappointed that she had worked so hard to get to the front only to be uncomfortable.
The game progressed on the two fighters continued to clash, their cards lighting up the night sky.
Taki beganto tire, his movements becoming slower and less precise.
Feeling his strength wane, he realized that he was no match for his opponent.
In a desperate attempt to turn the tables, he focused on his defensive strategy, adding more force icons to his card deck in hopes of staging a comeback.
Kaito was quick to sense Taki's weakness and launched a fierce attack with one of his swordman ninjas, using the powerful ninjutsu to take out Taki's Phoenix card.
The intensity of the attack sent Taki sprawling to the ground, gasping for breath with a battered and bruised body.
Despite the overwhelming odds, Taki refused to give up. Slowly rising to his feet, he couldn't help but notice that something about his opponent seemed off.
Kaito was playing differently than he had in their previous games - he seemed more aggressive, more determined.
Taki knew that he had to stay focused if he wanted to win, but the pressure was starting to get to him.
Meanwhile, Kaito was getting closer and closer to uncovering the secret to his brother's disappearance.
He could feel it in his bones - the rare card he needed was just one move away.
But Taki was a formidable opponent, and Kaito knew that he had to be careful not to reveal his true intentions.
It reaches the tension in the room was palpable.
Taki and Kaito were both sweating now, their eyes locked on each other's every move. And then, in a moment of clarity, Taki saw his opening.
He played his rarest cards a move as cheap that he had been brought up to his hand for the buy him more time for better ones.
But Kaito was ready. He had anticipated this move, and he had a surprise of his own.
With a sly smile that startled Taki to feel of suspicious what Kaito about to do, he played his rarest moves, one that he had been hiding up his sleeve.
Rena settled into a good spot in the stands, the girl was swept up in the energy of the arena.
The crowd around her cheered and shouted, the excitement building with each passing moment.
Rena's eyes widened in shock of an explosion sent an red card fighter flying through the air the land just a few feet away from her.
She rushed over to him, her heart pounds in her chest.
As she knelt down beside him, Rena could see that he was breathing heavily, but he seemed to be conscious.
She gently shook him awake, hoping that he wasn't seriously injured.
Taki's ragged breaths penetrated the barrier of silence, and Rena breathed a sigh of relief. He was alive, but he was badly hurt.
A tall, young cherry-red haired boy Tali, no older than twelve or thirteen, who struggled to remain on his feet.
The other competitors watched in shock as he fought to stay upright, but failed and dropped his deck of cards, disappearing off the bulletin board as "K.O."
The winner, Kaito, dressed in turquoise, was announced by the announcer the riding herd all over it, almost knocking Rena down. She used all her will-power to drag themselves out of the way.
She watched as the victor celebrated his first tournament win in the past few years, excited centipedes scurrying at his bidding.
"Ouch, Taki, that has got to hurt," said Rena, sympathetically.
"It is finally here," she added, propping the envelope out against folded in her pockets. "I at last got the notice I've been waiting for. I've been approved to enter the card battle tournament at Card Tower!"
Taki belly-crawled the last three yards through the underbrush over Rena's feet, making his way up on his own.Sure! Here's an example:
"Hey, have you heard about the upcoming card battle tournament at Card Tower?" Rena asked Taki.
"No, I haven't," Taki replied. "What's it about?"
"It's a big tournament with card fighters from all over competing for the grand prize," Rena explained.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time, and I'm determined to do my best. I want to prove that I'm the best card fighter out there."
Taki nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. "That sounds like a tough competition. But I know you can do it, Rena.
You've been training hard despite being late and you're one of the best card fighters I know."
"Thanks, Taki," Rena, smiled. "I appreciate your support.
"But I know it won't be easy," she rose a defeated sigh.
"Hey blue card fighter, Kaito!?" Taki shouted.
"So, yours finally came, did it, Kaito?
"The invitation to next year's card battle tournament?"
She looked to the left side end of the hallway, where Kaito was laughing cheerfully. As the escalator laid on down, the trainers handed him his ride back to the floor.
"Hmph," Kaito spoke. "Is that so... Taki?" He took a deep breath, crossing his arms with a smug look on his face and a little cackle between his words. "That may be so, Taki, but sure as hell, you ain't coming."
Taki was about to retort when Kaito disappeared before he had the chance to speak.
"Argh! What a cool, collected cucumber," Taki mumbled, frustrated.
But Rena couldn't help but feel excited for the upcoming tournament.
She had been waiting for this moment for a long time and was determined to do her best.
As she walked aside with holding on Taki's hands, she couldn't help but wonder what challenges and surprises awaited them at Card Tower.
Only time would tell, but Rena was ready for the challenge.
The morning may have been as cold as if it were dark, and all was silent, but for the blue card fighter Kaito, it was a morning of triumph and victory.
Taki had faced his fears and emerged failure, and he knew that stop of nothing to put a stop his dreams shattering before his eyes.
Taki was feeling down after his defeat against Kaito in the card tournament. He felt like he had let himself down and that he was a fool.
"But you know, I should be the one appearing in next tournament this year! Me losing to him of all people...."
But when Rena heard his determined words, she couldn't help but cackle. "What do you mean you should be participating in the next special tournament this year?" she asked. "You lost fair and square against Kaito. I guess it was all in the cards."
Taki was confused. "What do you mean, Rena?" he asked.
"Well, Kaito's father is Makito, the card fighter expert who created Card Tower!" Rena explained. "Not helping Rena, argh!"
Taki sighed and shifted his gaze towards all the fuss surrounding Kaito and his father celebrating at the other half of the classroom. He began to make his way towards the door, feeling defeated.
"I'm not fit to be a card fighter anyway," he mumbled. "Might as well accept the L and be the biggest loser with broken promises. The biggest joke back in school."
"Hold the phone!" she commanded the janitor who had just finished his rounds cleaning up the mess. "Wait, huh?" Taki questioned.
He paused for the seconds he stood by the front door made his way back near Rena, have blinked his eyes rapidly
Rena pointed to a list of alternatives on the wall. "Look right here, bonehead! This is your name, isn't it?" she said, reading from the list. "

An articulate young female spoke beyond back in time.
Taki's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow!" he exclaimed, choosing his name for the tournament. "My name will be Taki!"
[Tsk, you really are brickwall when it comes to new names.]
[Whatever, this will do]
Her voice resounded in his head floating him in mid-air a sudden flash of light blinded him to the same timeline-to an defeat from another trainer making it that far to as like Taki with an different trainer kid.
He just seeing his old-self, off not the reflection of his new formed glass figure.
Taki was feeling great after choosing his name for the upcoming tournament. "Wow, that really is my name," he giggled. "I feel so good and stylish for my taste. This can't be just because of my old clothes."
He was determined to settle things once and for all with Kaito, his rival from the previous tournament.
As Taki was looking down at his legs, he noticed a guy walking towards him who was wearing the same kind of shoes as the last time he had met him. It was Kaito.
"If it isn't Kaito with the fuss, like paparazzi! What's up, man?!" Taki exclaimed.
Kaito scoffed and set aside Taki's hand out for a handshake before regaining his composure and clearing his throat. "I haven't lost to you yet, Taki," he said.
Taki was confused by Kaito's behavior, he gestured to where of his hand scratching up his hair scalp. "What was all that about?"
Rena, who had been waiting in line with the other trainers existing the room as she wants to move in, overheard their conversation and couldn't help but chuckle. "That's what you call male bonding," she said.
"It's the first time I've ever seen him intimidated, and it's because of you, Taki," Rena continued. "You really are becoming a force to be reckoned with."
"Hey no kidding," Taki titled his head from scratching in his hair, gestured to where else they suppose to be.
"Let's go book, Rico. We got long road of battles ahead of us."
"You're gonna do all the fighting for us right?
Taki didn't answer, as she tag-along. Ri-right, Taki?"
