Addendum
Recently, I’ve been experimenting with AI-narrated audiobooks and have adapted some of my poetry, short stories, and novels, along with one of my introductory books on copyright law, into digitally generated audiobooks. While adapting them into audiobooks and then tweaking the result is quite time-consuming, I was generally quite surprised by the for the most part acceptable results, though still not quite comparable to professionally produced works narrated by human voice actors. The advantage is that I can offer them at a fraction of the price of my one professionally produced audiobook. You can judge the results for yourself by listening to excerpts from each audiobook, including my novel, my first poetry book from 2011, several short stories, and a collection of short stories in both their original English versions and my translations into Spanish. You can listen to free previews (including my professionally produced audiobook) on most platforms, including Amazon and Google Play. And you can also preview them on Audible (click on “virtual voice sample” or “sample” under each book cover to hear a preview). The Audible link to my books is https://www.audible.com/search?searchAuthor=Victor+D.+L%C3%B3pez&ref_pageloadid=not_applicable&pf_rd_p=83218cca-c308-412f-bfcf-90198b687a2f&pf_rd_r=WR7T1R5QCCCDA8H6WR5H&plink=2qHa5Um2Uw5SNfZz&pageLoadId=GFGvkjI2kxrQMklA&creativeId=0d6f6720-f41c-457e-a42b-8c8dceb62f2c&ref=a_search_c3_lAuthor_1_8_1.
Because the final version of this book is now available at most booksellers, I no longer offer every draft chapter here, but have retained the full draft version of six of the 13 stories in this collection, one of which is novella length.
I hope you find something interesting in these. Thanks!
