Chapter One

“Many years ago, during the battle against the Omnis, there was a group of Omnis that were more dangerous than most of the Omnis combined.”

The six Knights and Hoot were sitting around the coffee table in the living room of the clock tower. The only light on was Henry’s flashlight. The windows showed the night sky.

“These Omnis were known as the Elemental Omnis. They represented the different elements we know of. Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Metal, Wood, Thunder, Lightning, Dark and Aether. A single Elemental Omni was a force itself and it took an army to take it down. With all ten, the Omnis would have won.” Henry said before he looked at the others. “But a powerful warrior, the Warrior of the Night as he was called, defeated all ten, sealing them away in the orbs.”

Henry shined his light on the eight orbs on the table. “These very orbs hold eight of the Elemental Omnis. The other two are possessed by the Omnis once again.” He said.

“We all know that.” Hunter said. “We can also all assume that they plan on releasing the two Elemental Omnis too.” He let that sink in before he continued. “I assume there’s a plan for that.”

“Not exactly.” Hoot confessed. “It takes a special star alignment to release them but none of the legends about them say when that special star alignment is.” He had spent hours searching for that information. “For all we know, they could very well be releasing the two Elemental Omnis even as we speak.”

The light turned on. “There’s not much we can do.” Zane said by the light switch, causing the others to turn to him. “We’re still down one team member or did you all forget that Amelia is still in Destructon?” He rejoined the others. “We need to find someone to become Master Knight and get her out of there.”

“I asked my friend in Lockwood to find someone worthy of becoming the new Master Knight.” Henry said. “The Dino Knights might have better luck finding someone than we have.” After all, they had found someone to bring back one of their own even if his friend wasn’t willing to share the entire story.

Lina looked at her watch. “Zane and I better get back home.” She said. “If it gets any later, our dad will be asking where we’ve been.” She didn’t want to mention that she had school to get to in the morning. She had a feeling that Drake and Hunter would give her a bad time about that.

Zane looked at his sister. He knew what she wasn’t saying but he knew that their dad would be the bigger problem if they stayed out any later. “Lina is right.” He said.

Henry looked at Nick. “You should get home too.” He told Nick. “No doubt you’ll need to come up with a good cover story as to where Amelia went if Fiona asks where she is.” Henry knew that a woman as smart as Fiona would find it strange that both a Knight and one of her reporters would be missing at the same time without explanation.

Drake and Hunter looked at each other. “I don’t suppose the guestrooms here are still available.” Drake said.

Henry smiled. “Does that mean you’re thinking about joining the team?” He asked. Drake and Hunter were more than welcome to use it but he was still hoping that it meant that they were willing to join the team.

“Possibly.” Hunter replied. “We’re still debating about sticking around once Amelia is back.”

Henry was willing to take that for now. “The guestrooms are always available for you guys, even if you don’t join the team.” He told the two brothers before he turned to Hoot. “Keep the scanners going. If there is any detection of the Elemental Omnis, alert only me.” Henry didn’t want to risk any of his teammates if they were to carry on a normal life the next day.

Hoot nodded. “Got it.” He replied before he went to the computers.

Drake and Hunter went to the window and looked out towards the city. “Definitely like the old days, am I right?” Hunter asked.

Drake nodded. “I still think about those days. He admitted. “Back when the Knights were able to go out legally more easily.” He thought about how the Knights would always have to deal with the police and the F.B.I. after completing missions.

“Definitely easier back then.” Hunter said before he looked at the others. “Do you think Henry got them on the motorcycles yet?”

Drake smiled. He knew what his brother was thinking. “Let’s go see if they’re still in the garage.” He said.
