Chapter 1: Flowers
"Don't be long!"
"Don't worry, I won't be!" Nala replied "I just need to pick some flowers- you know those dragon star ones?" She picked up her homemade wooden basket and opened the door. "Bye!" She called. The door slammed shut. As she walked down the cobblestone path to the gate, she spotted the carved pumpkin she'd made a few weeks ago. Maybe she should get some skeleton pumpkin flowers too...
She swung open the gate, walked the path through the farmland and crossed the yellow dirt road, which was busy with carts and horses and skipped into the forest. The woods seemed magical today, with the dust fairies flitting through the sunbeams, and the trees were glittery with dew. The floor was covered in the colourful autumn leaves, which only added to the beauty. She walked slowly, admiring the forest in all its glory, and watching birds, bees and butterflies fly about.
Eventually Nala got to the mystical glade that grew dragon star flowers. She picked as many as she could hold and put them into the basket before picking some unicorn twigs and placing them beside the dragon star flowers. She then continued walking, so she could pick some skeleton pumpkin flowers in the skeleton pumpkin flower glade. As she was walking, she tripped over a tree root. Some of the dragon star flowers fell. Not to worry. She could always gather more on the way back home. She could always gather more on the way back home. She continued walking.
Three minutes later the dragon egg appeared.
