Will I see it Again?

Will I ever see it again? The ocean the vastness the sheer unbridled beauty. The waves itself once knocked me down head over heels. Now barely lap at my toes in obligation. To the sand that keeps falling forward, swallowed by the sea only for it to be thrown back as smaller pebbles warn by a bygone era of solitude and remnant.ο»Ώ

A precursor to the sailing ships beneath the blue sky on this ocean. Non the wiser as their merriment warrants no discourse nor glee. Free? Nay… but a shivering of things to succumb to a faΓ§ade that was never real in the slightest. The blue sky was naught but grey swollen clouds. And the ocean distraught in a hidden mayhem no sailor would suspect.

My eyes were they privy to the encroaching horizon would still see the sun. Yet seen only as barely setting yet never trully rising. A consistent gloom that foreshadowed the grey clouds and the turmoil of a current beneath the surface. Showing a glimpse of a vibrant gold in a scene of grey and melancholy. Drowned by the waving flags that bottled above the seas surface with no harmony or fear.

My feet wedge themselves into the sand feeling its rough and cold texture. Was it always rough? Was it always cold? Once perhaps no and yet again I have felt this sensation before. A changing season yet unable to fully commit to a drawing of stagnation. A repeat of a scene etched into a permanent memory. My favorite one perhaps despite the many times I have come to witness it.

No scene should last forever though, should it? Should that sun rise and break the cloud? Or let it sink and let melancholy sing its sweet whispers across a cold ocean surface. I do not know, for a storm is prominent in both and no ship is safe less they be warned.

My eyes shift to a new scene. Were they able. Finding a similar creation would be nigh impossible to replicate. And even then it would not be the original. Even as a painting or written words to a novel. None of them can truly explain a sensation, movement and aspiration of that ocean.

Will I ever see it again? Perhaps not but a memory is damn well good enough. Thank you…For that one glimpse…
