I knew how this would end. The worst part i hated to bow before another. I carried the power above all and watching it crumble was all i could not erase from the fate.
Her knees on the ground but her gaze never drowning with respect. There was passion in the hue of her irises. No fear lingered when the tip of her lips kicked up in a stunning smile.
"My lord." She pronounced. Her hair half tied up. Long caramenl waves fell to her back.
One unknown whould never belive a lady so fragile was capable of great mind. Clever to weave scheemes that could bring all six series to her feet.
The pearl necklace set desent on her sculptured collar bone. I stared at her for a beat too long.
"Lady Cordelia." I started but then reconsiled. Maybe i would be able to change it all. Maybe it didnt have to end that way.
I called her today for the case of her husbands death. To be specific murder of her husband on the wedding night. I could be sure that it was her after i knew what she was capable off. The soldiers did not find any specific evidence regarding the murder.
Instead of requiring information about that night i proposed her an idea which i found chances to work.
"From today onwards you will serve me as the kings lady." I demanded. Any commoner like her would kill to be hired at a position i offered her.
Cordelia didnt give me spacific expression to figure out my answer. I needed to be causious of my attitude towards ger. One wrong move and it will all be over. I had to keep her close so i could watch her every step.
"My Lord what please do I owe to grab your attention. Awudow like me is not capable to serve his highness."
"Be my personal lady." Something flickered in her eyes. Was i doing right to keep her in the castle.
I saw how her mind worked, wanting logics behind decisions.
"I got news he didnt touch you." I said.
" Indeed." She spoke with no pain or regret. She knew what she was doing. Well aware and cautious.
