Mia was at the modeling agency with her mom and sister. They were finishing up there before heading home.
“Thank you girls for helping me finish up, your dad want us to go out for dinner tonight,” Monica said.
“It’s not a problem Mom,” Mia said.
“Yeah Brett said he would have dinner ready before I get home,” Melanie said.
“And Paul is out of town still working,” Mia said.
“So you will be going home alone, honey, come join me and your dad for dinner,” Monica said.
“Mom, I’ll be okay, Max said he was coming over with some news,” Mia said.
“Okay sweetie, I just hate you being alone,” Monica said.
“I’m a big girl Mom,” Mia said.
“I know honey, but I’m still your mom and I worry about my kids as does your dad, you can’t stop us from that,” Monica said.
“We love you Mom,” Melanie said.
“Yeah Mom,” Mia said. They both hugged her before they headed out. Mia went home and walked in and went and changed and got dinner going. She heard the front door open and close.
“Twinnie!” she heard Max call.
“Kitchen,” Mia said. Max came in and hugged her.
“My beautiful twin sis,” Max said.
“My handsome twin bro,” Mia said.
“So you are probably wondering what news I have, I hope you aren’t going to be mad,” Max said.
“What did you do?” Mia asked.
“I fell in love,” Max said.
“And why would I be mad?” Mia asked.
“Because of who with,” Max said.
“Who Max?” Mia asked.
“Me,” she heard someone say and she saw it was her best friend Ellie who was standing at the doorway of the kitchen. She looked at Max and looked at Ellie.
“Are you kidding me?!!” Mia exclaimed.
“Mia,” Max said.
“Max! That’s what I wanted all along!” Mia said as she jumped on him and hugged him tight.
“Sis?” Max asked.
“You honestly think I wouldn’t want my twin brother with my bestest friend, I thought I would have to play matchmaker!” Mia said happily.
“I’m so glad you are happy about this,” Ellie said.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” Mia asked.
“Your best friend with your twin,” Ellie said.
“I couldn’t ask for a better person for him and for you,” Mia said.
“If only I could find girls for my brothers,” Ellie said.
“How are they?” Mia asked.
“They both work at the hospital, James as a doctor and Jake s the pilot for the med helicopter,” Ellie said.
“And they don’t date?” Mia asked.
“They work a lot so they don’t think anyone could put up with their work schedule,” Ellie said.
“Shortage of doctors and pilots?” Mia asked.
“Pilots yes, doctors, they have plenty but he just likes to work,” Ellie said.
“Dedicated,” Mia said.
“He loves it, Jake loves being in the air,” Ellie said. Mia finished cooking and they sat down and ate and talked. Max and Ellie left an hour later. She cleaned up and locked up. She went to shower and got dressed in her pajamas and got into bed and saw a message from Paul.
“Hey babe, I’ll be home tomorrow, I’ve missed you, have a good night, love you,” Paul texted. She smiled.
“I have missed you too, see you tomorrow, love you,” Mia texted. She put down her phone and went to sleep.
