Chapter 1
RACHEL'S POV
Hi there my name is Rachel Mills and this is my tragic story. Life was perfect, my sister's and I never lacked a single thing; mostly we belonged to a wealthy pretiguous family. My sister's and I had two loving parents and our parents constantly received compliments because people thought that they were the best couple in town.
Many people say it is where my sister's and I got our good looks.
Our mother Stella is a red head, she has green fierce eyes, bright red lips,a curvy figure, high cheekbones that complimented her round face. Our father Kingston had black dark hair, brown chocolate eyes, a heart shaped face and he had a mustache. He was very handsome and in fact he was the best father a girl could ever ask for.
We would do everything together.
I was the oldest and the second born was Annabelle. She had baby blue eyes, blonde platinum hair, pink lips and an oval shaped face. Annabelle was the quiet one. She liked to read books all day in the library and go horse riding. Sometimes I called her the silent one because she rarely communicated mostly because her nose was always buried in books. And she was also the smart one.
And our youngest little sister was Alessandra. The only words fit to describe her were trouble, naughty and chaos.
Apart from that Alessandra was also a daddy's girl.
She had honey brown eyes, jet black wavy hair, small thin pink lips, she had a small button nose and a heart shaped face.
I kept glancing at my wrist impatiently waiting for the last one.
Alessandra.
Annabelle was already standing by the door reading a book, her backpack casually slang over her single shoulder; she seemed so lost in her own world.
"Alessandra!" I yelled furiously.
A few minutes later mom came downstairs with our packed lunches and she gave me a peck on the cheeks.
"Rachel give your sister a few minutes you know how she takes when getting ready."
I groaned deeply.
" But she's taking way too long today to show and tell me I don't want to miss my presentation."
" I know Rachel but just bear with your sister don't be too harsh on her."
I nodded quietly and slumped on the chair I was fuming with anger.
A few minutes later Alessandra emerged downstairs humming her favourite lyrics.
Our eyes met and I pointed at my wrist watch.
Alessandra rolled her eyes at me.
She had red dots on her face.
This was one of her tricks pretending to be sick so that she could miss school I'm sure she didn't write her homework.
She gave mom puppy dog eyes.
"Mommy I feel sick today...cough cough."
I gave her a taunting look.
"Seriously?"
Mom gave me an angry look.
"Rachel your sister could be really sick just look at her she feels feverish and look at the red spots on her face" mom scolded.
" She's just pretending because she didn't write her math homework."
" Rachel…" mom warned and I decided to back out.
" Find your sweet precious Alessandra is sick can I just go to school already?
Mom shook her head in disbelief.
"You can go, I'm sure the driver is waiting outside, hurry up, you'll be late."
I spared Alessandra one last glance over my shoulder and she stuck out her tongue at me.
She was mocking me.
Annabelle and I collected our lunches and our driver Marty drove us to school.
Sometimes our classmates called us the Mills triplets because we had similar features and we were almost the same height.
Even though Alessandra Ambrosio always gave me a hard time she was still my crazy little sister and I was very protective of Annabelle and Alessandra I made sure that no one ever build them.
You must be wondering why I called Alessandra Ambrosio right?
That's because she's a drama queen. Just like in her favorite Italian telenovela chasing wild dreams.
She easily exaggerates things and always gets her way. She's the princess of the house.
Father always told me to look after them because it was my responsibility. I still recall his words and I kept them close to my heart.
It was a peaceful Saturday evening. He was sitting outside the balcony drinking his favorite expensive wine.
I decided to sit next to him and together we watched Alessandra Ambrosio having a tea party with her stuffed animals and Annabelle was on the swing reading a book.
"Do you see what I see Rachel? Father curiously asked, his gaze still fixed on my sister's.
I looked at them.
" Yes Alessandra Ambrosio is having a tea party and Annabelle is reading a book as usual."
He chuckled lightly.
" No my dear look closer."
He pointed at Alessandra.
" She's the youngest in our family. She needs to be taken care of especially from the builes. I know that with her feisty attitude she can easily defend herself but her sharp tongue will get her in trouble so keep her out of danger."
I nodded quietly.
" Annabelle loves the peace and fresh air you're only a few years older than but as her big sister it is also your responsibility to keep her safe and give her the best honest advice. "
" You're all my daughter's, my pride and joy my dear."
He turned to me.
" And you Rachel, my dear, are the oldest, always keeping your siblings safe from harm's way. You are brave, a symbol of unity in our way, you are impatient and stubborn, you are feisty just like your sister Alessandra. You and your sister are my chaotic flower sweet but lethal together."
He placed a white flower in my hands.
" Always remember this chaotic flower."
After that father went inside and honestly I was a bit confused but his words began to sink in. He wanted me to take care of Alessandra Ambrosio and Annabelle.
Alessandra walked towards me and gave me a small smile.
"Are you and dad keeping secrets from us? She asked curiously.
I gave her a small smile.
"No but he told me to give you this for your tea party" I exclaimed coolly and gave her the white flower, recalling father's words.
Alessandra Ambrosio gladly took it.
"What flower is iiRachel? It's very pretty."
" It's called the Chaotic flower."
"Wow."
Alessandra Ambrosio frowned at me.
" What does it mean?
"Hmmm it means trouble just like you." In response she gave me a big grin.
" I like to tell dad to get me more tomorrow."
I nodded quietly.
" Sure."
Alessandra went to resume her tea party.
ANNABELLE POV
The world was full of mysteries buried deep in the million archive's of billions of books and I wanted to uncover all their secrets. That was why I spent most of the time reading. I didn't do it to ghost people or ignore them. I was just a curious girl and I loved science, biology and history.
Father was also a fan of classic literature; he also had exquisite taste. I'm glad that we had our personal library. The current mansion we were living in had untold tales. Many people thought that it was haunted but while cleaning the library I discovered a stash of hidden old letters.
It seems like they were from the previous owners of the mansion since it was probably many years old.
The title itself had caught my attention.
The writing was worn out and faded but I managed to get a few words out.
The heading read: I AM MY FATHER'S BASTARD SON.
It seemed like the owners had written down their whole life in this book and left it behind. The previous owners believed that the mansion was cursed because it always brought unhappiness to happy families.
The letters were full of deceit, love and blood.
