Marrowinds Runaway
Quinn.
The dark sky was slowly turning a soft redish pink. A 12 year old male was resting his head on his younger sisters, a final goodbye being said between the two. He had to leave for Tamrial, it wasn't safe for him here anymore. He got onto the boat that was taking him to Dawnstar, where he was to begin his life again.
He turned to wave one final time at his sister and sat down. Waiting for his life to restart all over. His plans were to go to Solitude or maybe even try and find a place at Whiterun, both He heard good things about.
Quinn knew what he brought was going to be semi useless to him. A glass dagger and a few arrows was all he had for weapons. A few goat legs for food to try and keep him from getting starved.
All he had for clothes were a baggy white collar shirt, the strings holding the bust together were a bit frayed but still in one piece. The pants had to be tied with rope at the waist to keep them from slipping off his thin frame.
The small male opened his wine red eyes and watched the stars flash and dart across the ink sky. He sighed contently and rolled onto his side while covering his face with an arm.
(Now at Dawnstar.)
Quinn felt a jolt as his boat bumped into the cold ground. The frozen dirt crackled as he stepped down onto it. He stretched himself out and looked around. The boats owner informed him about the inn that was near the large building on the top of the hill. He paid him and left to the inn, hoping it had a room available.
He darted up the snow covered stairs and pushed open the door softly, his fingers temporarily turning pink from the cold weather. He slipped in and sat a bag of coins onto the counter while pointing to a room that was (hopefully) empty, the bartende nodded and handed him a warm drink before returning to work.
The room was rather nice and warm. Small bed pushed into the corner leaving room for him to pace around normally without feeling clusterphobic. The small flopped onto the bed and fell asleep promptly. His stuff sitting on the small table next to the bed.
His sleep was shallow but still kept him feeling refreshed and well energized. His arm hung off the bed, allowing his nuckles press to the floor. The one ring that adorned his slim finger made a small dent in his middle and pinky finger. His sister got it for him while browsing a market stall she had the twin to it. The only difference being the stone in the middle.
Quinn jolted quickly after feeling a hand wrap itself around his mouth and throat, closing his airways. He thrashed harshly, lashing out with his dagger only to have the person slam his head into the wall, rendering him unconscious. His limp body slipped into the arms of his captor and flopped slightly.
Astrid.
She grinned down at the kid in her arms, his dark hair messily spread over his gray face. She finally had a new member for the Dark Brotherhood. He was still a kid so he'd be easy to train and raise as a true assassin without any problems.
She threw the small male over her shoulder and snuck out of the inn, using the shadows to make her way back to the sanctuary. After she muttered the frais to the door it swung open and she walked in.
After turning the corner she was scared by a young red/brown-haired kid, his age only being 11. Cicero. Gods she hated this kid quite a bit, never listened to his elders, never followed instruction, barely did the contracts properly.
"Who's this Ast, did ya bring Cicero a gift, can I be the one who cuts him!" He pulled at Astrid's sleeve immaturely and smiled a rather creepy smile at the unconscious boy on her shoulder.
"No. He is a new member. And don't touch me you little devil." She ripped her sleeve loose and stalked away. Not caring if she hurt his feelings. She felt his wide eyes burning holes into her back the whole time she told the others about the kid.
Astrid dropped the young male onto a bed and carefully tugged off the dirty shirt and threw the armor worn by most assasins onto his bed. His hand gripped onto her finger sleeply and tugged at it a bit. She pulled loose and check his health carefully.
Apart from 2 scars under his small chest that were kinda sloppy but still fully healed. He seemed perfect which was great. She knew full well how new people where treated but the Brotherhood needed members. He would just have to fight for his survival.
She turned to grab his pack and seen two brown eyes staring at the kid on the bed. She hissed under her breath and tugged him over by his bownish-red hair and glared at him.
"Why's he not moving. What did Astrid do to him!" The kid gently poked the unconscious male's cheek with his index finger causing a slight stirring from him.
"I didn't do shit to him, brat. Now why do you insist on pestering me with your presence. What do you want."
"Cicero wants to see the new kid. He wants to see what happens to him!" She rolled her eyes and pulled him away from the sleeping male again when he tried to poke and tug at his hair to see his face.
"Fine! By sithis. Look at him then but he isn't going to wake up you fool." She shoved him to the bed and walked away from the grumbling male and went to report on the kids health.
Quinn.
He slowly opened his eye enough to see but not be noticeable. Instead of the girl there was a young kid looking at him with wide brown eyes. He sat up and screamed a bit, jumping away while pushing himself against the wall. Causing the other boy to tilt his head a bit. He gently held out his hand shyly which was shaking slightly.
The ginger grabbed his hand eagerly and shook it while tugging him off the bed. Quinn stumbled while the slight wave of dizziness hit him. He looked at the other kid who was a few inches shorter then him. The smaller barely able to meet Quinns eyes; his head reaching just under his jaw.
"HI, my name is Cicero, the jerk said you wouldn't wake up but you diiiid. What's your name, why's your eyes red??" Quinn shrunk back a bit but found a slight fondness for the younger male.
"U-um..it's Quinn, a-and I'm a dark elf- well, I guess I'm half dark elf half nord..b-but I gots red eyes.." Quinn smiled softly and felt his body relax. He didn't know why but Cicero made him feel happy and like he wasn't in danger.
