I wake up to my alarm going off, the sound brimming in my ears. Slowly, I move myself off my bed, letting out a groan. I want to sleep more, I thought to myself, forcing my sluggish legs to move. My breath hitches for a moment as my foot gets snagged over a small box in my room. I needed to clean it, but I can do that later. As I stumble through the hall from my room to the kitchen my eyes begin to focus on a small piece of paper taped to the fridge. It was a note from my dad.
“What’s this about..?” I mumbled to myself as I ripped the paper off the fridge.
*went on a business trip and will be gone for about a month*
Sighing, I grab a spare hair tie lying on the counter, putting my reddish-orange hair up in a messy bun. If Dad was gone that meant I had to make food for myself. I wasn’t going to do that with no sound though, so like a reasonable person, I blasted some music to accompany the cooking. Since I was too lazy to put much effort I just decided on a simple egg and toast breakfast.
Once I had finished preparing my meal I tossed my plate into the sink, turning to go get ready to go school clothes shopping since school starts next week. I heard a knock on the door and I went to open it, It was a boy with brown fluffy yet wavy hair and blue eyes, My eyes wandered his body looking him up and down and studying his features. I hear him chuckle “Your dad wanted me to watch you for a month like a bodyguard, I’m Ryan” He shakes my hand and I let him in and bring him some water. “ I’m Ashlyn but people call me Ash or Ashy, Um I should go shower, make yourself comfortable”
I go to the bathroom and blast music again and shower I then get dressed in a pastel green dress with my hair down and I put my vans on. I walk downstairs and he is sitting in the kitchen on his phone he looks up and smiles “Ready ashy?” “Yeah, I call dibs driving!” I yell as I run out to the garage and grab my keys and phone My sweater is in the car so I put my phone in my pocket turn the car on and smile as see Ryan walk into the garage sits next to me and mumbles something so I look over at him and he looks out the window. Once we got to the store I parked, grabbed my phone and purse and went inside to the shirt section I started humming as I looked at clothes and I heard Ryan sigh. I turn around and see him grinning so I ask “What’s your deal?” I look at him confused as he shows me a black dress and he says “ go try this on it may look cute” I sigh as I take the dress and a few crop tops and try it on . I look in the mirror and it losley fits and its flowy and goes down to my knee, after i try the rest of the stuff on i come out and see he went to the book store so i went to pay and went to the store and find him. He had bought a few crime books and i told him to meet me at the car before one. I walked to the car and put my stuff in the back. I then hear ryan open the door and sit in the passenger seat, i look over and he sighs. “What’s your problem?” I ask, “I'm bored as fuck and you dragged me out here,” he says as he rolled his eyes and I sign “Fine then where would you like to go mister bored” he sighs “Well let me drive and ill show you” i get out and we switch seats. As he started to drive i put my headphones on as I started to play a playlist and look out the window, Then all of a sudden the car stopped and i looked over as he tried to figure out how to drive a stick with a clutch and i sigh. “Dipshit you stalled the clutch and the car turned off” i say annoyed. We switch seats and I glare at him
