Part 1

“We shouldn’t invade them,” Fury argued. It was like talking to a stone wall. The Elder was so set in stone in his own ways.

“Have you forgotten your place? I’m the town Elder and my words are final,” The Elder scolded.

“Why are we invading them?” he questioned

“You just don’t give up,” The Elder sighed, angrily “Linear Town has endangered us, giving our location to the most powerful raider group!”

“They didn’t mean it!” Fury snapped “Why would they put harm on their people for no reason?”

“Leave Fury, go back to your quarters!” The Elder ordered. Fury reluctantly obeyed. This was stupid! Going to battle with Linear Town is pointless. They didn’t mean to lead raiders and bandits to our town. It’s not their fault we live closer than we should. Fury opened his door, but before he could enter, he was interrupted.

“Hi, Fury,” it was Floof, his very curious and loud neighbor, though he had to value her high spirits and eagerness. “Were you able to convince The Elder?”

“No,” He sighed with frustration “I hate this leadership system! It shouldn’t just be The Elder making decisions, we should all have a say. We’re too strict in our old ways!” He ranted.

“We should take this inside,” Floof suggested. They looked around. Thankfully, no one was around to hear them at the moment, but it didn’t make it safe. They entered Floof’s house and sat down on the furniture. It was a pretty empty room. A table with a few chairs and a couch. “I don’t agree with this system either, but what are we supposed to do? It’s been around for years and as you said, no one’s ever gonna dare to change it,”

“That’s the point, and now our town is going to start a pointless war with Linear Town, which just suffered a devastating attack from Raiders already,” He complained. It wasn’t fair, there must be a way he could help them.

“Well, what if we warn them?” Floof suggested

“And be exiled from our town?” Fury pointed out, but it wasn’t too horrible. What has town life done for them? It was obvious that neither of them had enjoyed it or fitted in and he couldn’t be responsible for letting an innocent town get attacked because of a misunderstanding. “Then so be it, we will leave at moon-high under the cover of darkness.”
