Chapter 1
Thana's POV
"Why do I always have to look after my brother?" I asked. My name is Thana, and I am a human being. But that is what everyone thinks.
"You are 15, you can look after your 6 year old brother," replied Dad as he closed the door. Dracul (my brother) skips in.
"I need a poo-poo!" exclaimed Dracul.
"Then go do it, you little...!" I whispered, "You are old enough to go by yourself! Now please go before you poo yourself!" Dracul folded his arms.
"I said I need to go poo-poo!" answered Dracul. I shake my head.
"Your 6 years old. You can do it yourself. I'll show you the way to the toilet," He's 6 and he doesn't remember the way to the toilet? Unbelievable! I thought. I showed Dracul the way to the toilet.
"Now, don't, please don't, call me when your finish," I said.
"Ok, ok..." came his reply. I went to my bedroom, put my airpods in and layed back on my bed. You know when I said that my parents thought I was a human? Well here's what I am: I'm... ok I actually don't know what I am. But it's definitely not human. Humans can't do magic, humans can't fly. The door bell rang. They are back? Already? No, it's only been at least 5 minutes. I go and check who it is.
I don't know them so I make a note to be cautious. The stranger was in a black cloak, hood, which was up, covered their eyes.
"You have been accepted into Ewimora, School of Magic. You will have a doppelganger in your place. You will be meeting the headmaster in an hour at abandoned mansion near the lake," said the stranger. Then the stranger disappeared and there was a whisp of blue smoke. I locked the door. Ewimora! I got in Ewimora! Ever since I found out about it a year ago I wanted to get in it. I had to be 15! I ran to my room and found me on my bed. The person spotted me and took out my airpods.
"You must be Thana Zayne. I'm Zero Umbra, I'm your doppelganger," said the stranger.
"So Zero, I'm meant to meet the headmaster in an hour. So why are you here earlier?" I asked
"Well. You need to get going," shrugged Zero.
"I can just teleport there," I replied.
"But you know, you can't teleport to the mansion. You will teleport closest to it which will be a 15 minute walk to the mansion." replied Zero with a smile. Great, I thought.
