Chapter 1
In an ocean there is an island that is the home of Vampires. This island also has a small population of humans, even though it is just for vampires. The one's who decided on this was the government of Panora. They decided this, because the vampires were getting out control, killing anyone who got in their way, or kidnapping females to turn them into vampires just to use as breeding stock so they can continue their bloodlines. One of the worst was that they would even kidnap young girls, but the people of Panora had enough of this, so they turned to their government so they could do something about the situation and they did, what was mentioned before. All the people of Panora then began to live in peace, that is until the vampires began to go insane, because the government did not allow them to have human blood, so the government decided to make blood banks for them. They even asked for volunteers to go live on the island as blood donors. Of course many of the volunteers were goths. The goths that went to the island only went there in hopes of being turned vampires, but it hasn't happened for none of them, that is until one day.
On a raining day, a young goth was just getting out of work, when suddenly a small group of angry vampires attacked her. Luckily, she knew how to defend herself and she beat them up, but there was something different about her. That something was that she is half vampire half human, making the first hybrid between a human and a vampire. Her name is Jude, even though she is a girl, her parents thought that they would have a boy first, so they had already chosen the name, but they had a girl and kept the name. At first she did not like her name, because like a lot of children, she would get bullied for having a male name, but she grew older, she learned to love her name, because she was no ordinary girl. She was a tomboy, meaning a girl who dresses like a male and that was the reason why she was bullied and she did her hair like male. Suddenly, the vampires became even more angry and tried to attack her again, but again she defended herself very well and managed to make one of them go unconscious. This made the other become scared of her, then they picked their friend and began running away while on of them shouted at her, "This will not be last time you will be seeing us ", to which she replied with a smile showing her fangs and eyes glowing red, "I will be waiting for that day". This made them run away even more faster, then she laughed, when she got a phone call from her parents asking her to go home, which she did.
By the time she got home, it was even more dark and all the vampires that cannot go out during the day began to come out, then the entire city began lighting up even more. When she was in front of her home, it was her father who opened the door. Him being a full vampire he has several abilities, one of them being psychic, which means that he already knew about what had happened. He then asked her to go inside the house, where she was greeted by her very worried mother. She then told her that she was fine, because she defended herself then her father spoke, "You may have defended yourself , but how would you know if they were sent to kill you or to kidnap you". Her father's words made her think, then she answered him, "I'm sorry father it won't happen again". After they were done talking they went to the kitchen to sit down to eat dinner. When they were done there was a knock on their door. It was her grandfather, who is also a full vampire, but he is no ordinary vampire; he is the patriarch of the covenant they are from. He rarely visits them because he is upset that his youngest son fell in love with a human and decided to live a normal life and when he does visit, its only to see if my her father has turned her mother into a vampire, which he has not done so, which upsets her grandfather. Her father suddenly gets up from the table to greet him and invite him inside to join them for dinner, but he refused to join them and said that he would wait for them to eating in the living room.
After a few minutes, Jude and her parents were finished eating, then joined her grandfather in the living room, who began telling them why he was visiting them. "There are two reasons why I have come here, first beign Jude's fight. Those underlings that you fought with, my dearest granddaughter, belong to one of my dearest friends, but do not worry I have immediately explained everything and he has immediately has taken care of underlings". Jude was not surprised when he mentioned her fight, because she her grandfather was a psychic nor when he put emphasis on the three words taken care of, because she knew what they meant, then he went on. "The second being her coming of age ceremony, she will be sixteen soon and I will be expecting to see wether you my son will turn her and her mother into full vampires". At his words, her father became angry and answered him back , "That is my descision, father why can't you be satisfied with your granddaughter being a halfling ", to which her grandfather replied , "Because I plan on making the next one to lead our family". His words shocked everyone, but it was Jude who dared to answer her grandfather, "But grandfather I am not ready, why not choose one of my uncles or aunts, or even my father". Her grandfather suddenly laughed at her words then told her, "Because you are a very special halfling". Jude became surprised, then asked just how special she is, then her grandfather told her, "You are special, because even though you are half vampire, you will still your powers when you become of age and because you will have the choice to become a full vampire". At his words, Judes and her parents mouths fell open, but then asked him if sh were to choose to become a full vampire. He then anwered her that she will no longer walk in the sunlight and will become even more powerful. She then became quiet for a few second, then surprised everyone by smiling and telling them that she was more than ready to become a full vampire. Her grandfather became extremely happy then did something unexpectedly. That something was he picked up Jude and spun her, which made her laugh. He then put her back down and excitedly said. "I must inform the entire famil, they will be just as happy as I am". Jude became quiet, which her grandfather noticed, which made him ask, "Why are you quiet, don't you want the family to know?. Jude then answered him, "No, not until the day of my transformation". Her grandfather and her parents then bursted out in laughter, because of what she said, then her grandfather said, "That is very cunning of you, reminds me of your father when he was your age". At his words Judes father became embarrased, but Jude and her mother became surprised. Her grandfather laughed again at their expressions, then controlled himself and told them, "Yes my granddaughter and daughter in law, he was very cunning, as a matter of fact he was always playing pranks on me, my wife, and my other sons and daughters, but eventually he grew out of it and became the man he is now", then let out a sigh as if he would like to return to the past, then Jude walked up to him and gave him a hug, which surprised him, but he still hugged her back. Judes father then spoke, "Father, a part of that cunning boy has never left, you can even ask Jude or her mother ". At his word, Jude and her smiled and nodded their heads, then her grandfather smiled too, then said, "Well I had a lovely time with the three of you, but I must leave, because it is late for Jude and she has school to go to tomorrow, oh Jude thank you for making such a difficult descision, I am proud of you . One last hug before I go ". Jude smiled, then hugged her grandfather and then he left.
After Judes grandfather left, Jude and her parents said their goodnights to each other, then went to their bedrooms. Jude then layed down on her bed fell asleep with a smile on her face thinking of her grandfathers words, "I am proud of you".
