Through her big hazelnut eyes, Magdalene watched a group of young boys loitering under a streetlight, as boys loiter on street corners everywhere in the world. One of the boys leaned over, picked up a can from the ground and shook it. He reached out his arm and sprayed the can, smiling at his own cleverness. In ruby red letters the youth spelled the word FREEDOM. The scene presented a moment. The youths had an idea. Was the idea worth it? Worth the sacrifice?
