Prologue

Prologue

Squatting in the middle of a forest a blue haired individual with long silky hair going down to their collar bone and a bit further. Wearing a black hooded jacket with a white shirt underneath, black trousers and the standard shinobi sandals all of which were worn and damaged to some extent. His green eyes, standing out beautifully to its surroundings. He was drawn to something on the ground but as soon as he picked it up his ears perked up to noise and his head snapped towards a different direction. He gripped the handle of his katana and began to slowly unsheath it with his right hand while his left hand began to emit lightning sparks all around it. Both his hands were wearing gloves that only covered his palm and wrapped through the gap between his index finger and thumb. These were called fingerless gloves… His eyes shot all around the forest in front of him and his demeanour changed in an instant going from investigative to battle ready.

“I was searching for you, guess I didn’t have to look far.” His eyes were still shooting everywhere and he still gripped his sword yet to start the fight. He was collecting information on who he was facing.

“The Blue Lightning, shame that this will be your final resting place.” A voice echoed all around him to avoid getting pin pointed to one location.

“Let’s stop this idle chatter and get to business.” The voice still echoed but it began to get closer and clearer until the opponent was within striking distance.

TCHING

He fully drew his sword and blocked the attack to his rear. The enemy’s kunai wasn’t enough to break through and finish the fight in an instant.

The opponent was a black hooded figure hiding the majority of their appearance behind a mask, cloak and voice changer.

“This won’t take long.”

“Oh really now. We’ll see about …That…”

The blue haired man dashed forward and hit a tree but he used the tree to propel himself towards his opponent. Before the cloaked man’s eyes could adjust to what he was seeing he was sliced in half with lightning sparks coming from the source of the wound behind him.

He slumped to the ground before muttering his final words. “I am only one of many after you. The majority will be stronger. Good luck.” He hit the ground with a thud no longer moving or twitching.

The blue haired man swung his katana to clean it of blood before holstering it . He turned around to face his now dead opponent. He crouched down next to the man and searched his pockets to find something useful. He found a rolled up piece of paper. From a bingo book. He opened up the paper and found his face circled in red. Underneath was a description of his abilities and what they knew about him. Someone put a bounty on his head. He placed the paper away and rolled the dead body over and removed the mask. The face of the dead was heavily scarred and burnt.

“No wonder why he wore a mask.” The blue haired man felt a bit sorry for the dead but quickly got over his emotions. On the man’s forehead was a headband for the hidden stone village but it had a line through it. He was rogue. There was nothing more to find out. The blue haired man got up and left the scene of fighting. Pulling out two headbands from his pocket. They were from the hidden cloud and hidden leaf village. This shinobi belonged to neither village anymore. He held no allegiance. But he couldn’t help but want to visit both once more.

My Second Chance

kitkatbar29: So this first book in this series I liked. A good plot that flowed well for the most part with some twists along the way, good well developed characters... there are a few technical mistakes, but nothing to harsh. I must say toward the end of the book there were some issues with like a quick change ...

Kritta_820: I enjoyed the storyline immensely and felt that it devolved from the average "small puny female wolf finds a royal mate." Sometimes the jumps between scenes and plots jumped ahead a little too far for my taste. For example when MC heard the update about her first mate the book suddenly changed to th...
